I think the biggest question will be if orbital is ever going to be optimized enough to actually be playable, and if so, what the balance will be like. It's just impossible to balance it at present since no one can actually play it. Might be fun for all we know!

We need a big and slow mobile antinuke being able to carry one missile at a time and not being able to be assisted. Then, the invasions will be possible. This is what the game shows.
Not necessarily, comm rushing is pretty dead in this patch. I would say perhaps a strong strategy is an immediate 5 comm rush with mostly the intention of suiciding just to severely slow them down. But when you've got a 3v7 in a random public game you can pretty much guarantee you aren't going to be against a highly co-ordinated and strategically advanced team.
Zaphod, why do you leave your FPS counter on the screen while streaming? You should also move your URLs to the top of the screen when you're casting from spectator so it doesn't block ping alerts.
You mention that the Astraeus will be shot down by air or flak, but for a few versions now there has been a bug where it doesn't enter the air layer, just drops its cargo straight to earth.
