This might possibly work as assault, but that is the most difficult way to attempt this scenario. Even if you did it, it was the path of greatest resistance.

With heavies directly on the front, snipe if the enemy team doesn't have a sniper or assault. Otherwise, assassins can get by and kill bots so none make it to your base, possibly even drop turrets.

Support would have an easier time holding off an aggressive line of heavies than an assault. Another gunner would have an easier time. TBH, if your team has a meh gunner, healing him would even the odds better than trying to soften lines with an assault (as you will damage a lot of enemies partially, maybe even kill 1 or 2, and if you managed to juice and kill a bunch, they can take back the map control from a single assault).

Actually, my main thought about it is that I should play more in general, and that I should specifically play more with VLane.

I do appreciate people who make classes seem broken. I think you and a friend were messing with me as tank and as gunner one spunky game long ago, probably was the last time I played with you.

Since you weren't trying on bots, since that would probably been too easy against pubs, you didn't seem too difficult (and I oddly thought I was doing better as gunner vs assassin, than tank vs assassin). I am sure you could have tried and it would have made me do less favorable.

I don't play assassin in pubs unless I play with friends. And if I play sin in pubs I don't play seriously.

Or play under mooses name and stomp, get called a hacker, get reported, force rage quits, empty a server. Repeat.
