I am seriously thinking of another PC, based on the fact I would rather play moddable games, open end rpg games, PLANETARY ANNIHILATION, and maybe see what Renegade X is about. Also, worse comes to worse, I can play C&C Renegade anyway, which is still much better balanced than Black Ops 2. The single only thing that would change my mind, is the price not being terribly crippling, the startup on a handful of mildly entertaining games also being possible and cheap, and CoD Ghost being BALANCED MOTHOF***R. Since I will assume none of the above to be true with experience, nor will I assume within ever a reason of a doubt for PS4 to have anything remotely playable (like skyrim missing any DLC, black ops 2 with H4}{ g4l0r3, no minecraft ever period at all end of discussion just no, and I bet starbound doesn't even make it), then until I see otherwise, I will probably not upgrade past my xbox360 and just get a strong enough PC to play a stable build of games.
I hate the Xbox One. Why would you call it Xbox One? What is wrong with 720? Are they coping the Playstation One (the one that came out after the original) like they did with Internet Explorer 3? You have to be online to use it, I don't understand that, a lot of people who buy an Xbox don't have access to the net. It has 8 gig of ram, but runs 3 operating systems, so its vista? I wouldn't be surprised if 2 - 4 gig was reserved for the OSes. Personally I don't need a social panel, what do I press the home button(? name, the xbox button) for?, to press y afterwards (go to dashboard). What do I do in the dashboard?, connect to wireless, scroll back through the crap and play Halo 4. Everything else is a waist of space. If I wanted to socialise I would go to my computer and log into facecrap or google+. I am looking forward to Skype though, only if you can do non **** (Kinect) and use it in game (because the in game comms are so bad that I can't actually here anyone talking so its insta mute everyone with a mic). When I play with my friends its either LAN (via live still so we have 1 screen each lol) or over Skype through the PC lol. Overall, I don't like it and will only buy one to play Halo 5 on (depending on how it looks / sounds near release).
Imma go play Halo 1 and 2 on my xbox nao mwahahaha. Sure, you CAN play it on 360, but the loading times are actually shorter on the giant black doom machine-
I also heard that you must have kinect plugged in at all times for it to work. Always plugged to the internet, a mic, camera. Hmmm...
The fact that Halo PC is so poor online ruins it for me. The netcode is just so awful. Custom edition is fun though. Halo 2 was used to sell Vista, case closed.
Ha, I remember returning my copy of Halo 2 because it didn't work on XP and I didn't want to get Vista. Still haven't played that one.
I'm on track towards buying JSRF for the third time. I sold all my old xbox games except Halo, Halo 2 and Lego Star Wars (broken, couldn't sell) like 4 years ago, and i regret it.
I buy consoles when they're cheap. 90% of my game purchases are 2nd hand, the 10% is reserved for series I love. Not being melodramatic at all, no 2nd hand market is a deal breaker. I'll go wherever there's a 2nd hand market, if not PS4 then Wii U. It's bad because it's confusing, stick a pin in a dictionary and you'd find a better name just because it would be unique (online word generator says "Xbox Compounder", awesome). I call the original Xbox "Xbox 1" as it is, because most people inexplicably think I'm talking about the 360. From now on I'll have to call it "the original Xbox", "the Xbox with a pentium 3 in it", or "the Xbox that has outlived every other console I've ever owned twice over, seriously this thing will not die".
I actually find it funny now that I got my old Xbox working and it reads disks more consistently than my brother's 360 xD
