I didn't watch the stream, nor do I know anything about their latest console. I really don't care, to me console gaming is completely and utterly irrelevant. Any user scenario the console might fit, my PC does it too and other things on top of that. Heck, I don't even have colleagues or friends that play on consoles.
I seem to be the only person in the world who thinks the name "Xbox One" is good and likes the look of it. Too bad I don't want any console...
You're right, because I'm one of the people scratching their head thinking, "why did they pick this name?"
I heard one of the newer ones, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, will come to PC, not quite the same but that's a development. Bonus question, does this now take the cake as weirdest name choice or does that title still go to the Wii?
i wonder why hack and slashes are less gratifying on a keyboard. i mean, i agree, same with racing games.
No idea. Super Crate Box, Beat Hazard, and Super Meat Boy are the only games in my library that I use a PS3 controller for.
Woah really? The amount of decent hack & slashers on the PC isn't enough to justify buying a controller.
I'd say more casual games go well with controllers. Controllers, especially to #1 PC men, only really are inferior in competitive shooters. If my trigger was analog, my controller would be amazing for Borderlands. But I wouldn't suggest buying a controller for that reason either. If you feel like you need another input device, you'd just buy a nice mouse.
XBox One is an All in "one" system. I forsee the XBox One to replace both a cablebox/dvr and your Dvd/Blu-Ray player. Though that's mainly a US thing I believe.
