Did you know that the 74 minutes that were available on early MD and CD are because of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9?

Later, Halo 2's main menu theme was looped for 80 minutes and it became necessary to increase CD length to that. Mini-disc fell away from the competition at that point because it was a Sony product and wasn't licensed to play Halo music until years later when the format was already long dead.
