Wow I just played a match with this mod, and I have to say that this is one of my favourite mods to date (next to my own orbital mod of course ) . But well done with the mod. Your units are awesome, your effects are A+ awesome and I especially like how the eco works in it atm (no massive eco nerf). I honestly applaud your efforts and will be following this mod closely from now on. Continue your excellent work. (Now we just need your mod to get a bit more recognition).
Just a request. Could you put together a version of ModX that includes the textures in the server side. This is mainly so I can have some games with randoms who I have not told to install client side (or could not be bothered installing client side).
You can copy pa and ui folders from com.zx.pa.modxc which is located in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\client_mods if you are on Windows 7/8. However people still will not have strategic icons.
When you enable the mod on PAMM make sure there are no other server mods enabled to prevent conflicts.
Update 4.4 (3 jan 2015) Some bugs fixed, including: ion cannon firing land but not orbital, advanced fabber unable to build basic radar and torpedo launcher, AI unable to build some orbital units in some cases, other minor adjustments I probably don't recall. Plasma artillery now has new buildbar icon with barrel pointing up 45 degrees. Since orbital fighter was scaled down in previous updates it did not fit in launcher rocket anymore. So new orbital unit is added in this update for you to hunt down enemy's Astraeii. Download: https://mega.co.nz/#!t0wWUCKQ!NEw_RFH5b_FVCLK6NX8z2q55PWixpVOxSrz-KwdJg-4 . Or get on PAMM.
Ah cool thanks for the help. Just tested it and there isn't really a huge load time difference for me.
like the mod but hate the 3 factories you need to build; feel like everything is unnecessarily spread out. Units are nice and somewhat balanced. Overall good though
Update 4.5 (9 jan 2015) Commander explosion and nuke won't kill commander so easily anymore. Air transport moved to t1(counting from 0) factory. Fixed some effects not being team colored. Buzzer strategic icon changed. Other small fixes. Avaliable on PAMM.
do you guys have a unitlist or something? tested the mod a bit ... first thing gates are way to expensive should cost rather around 6 k metal ... considereng how much you have to spend for two ... personaly not a fan of t3 factories in general .. should have a price reduction to around 4k metal imo t2 factories should have a namechange imo ... having like two basic factories for each type is ... weird ... bit more hp to firebots fireeffecs and explosions were all white ... why no mortarbot (grenadier) but mortarvehicle? strategic icons are a bit too small what i like in this mod are the different towers and airplaneeffects ... gonna test orbital and naval over the weekend ...
First of all, thanks for feedback! No. Not yet at least. Now that you mention that people need two of them to work I may cut the price in half. At least until we get legit multiunit transoprts. Factories have price proportional to build power (except combat factories). Prices of everithing and build power are 1,2 or 5*10^n so its easier for humans to queue balanced squads and calculate how long is it gonna take to build things. Taken in account. Maybe, balancing isn't finished. They do pretty good damage though if you manage to sneak some to enemy's base. Here are some specs: Dox: cost 100, armor 40, dps 50 (25 against buildings and naval), fire range 100. Ant: cost 200, armor 100, dps 50, fire range 140. firebot: cost 100, armor 80, dps 200, fire range 20. So, that's 8 times more damage per price against structures. Was your army color white maybe? If not, does the same thing happens with other mods that make effects teamcolored? Grenadier became adv aa bot plus there is tactical missile bot. Mortar vehicle is (supposed to be?) good against big groups of units. What's your resolution? Do icons look a bit too small or a bit too small? Thanks! Try building combat factories next to enemy's base, keep in mind that they consume a lot of energy.
