Not completely convinced yet... but I do kinda like it.
It is purposely as big as I can possibly make it.

I was intrigued when I first saw them on a mistakenly made commit on RCBM some time ago. Nice work, keep it up!

Wow, these looks cool, I might actually be able to use strat icons and know what each one actually is.

They remind me a lot of the old icons back in early alpha. Yes those. I liked them actually, but only for their style and character. In-game they were not readable and they were too big. I was hoping they would end up with icons like you showed us, not just simple shapes with more shapes in them like they are now.

Icons like this are a lot more unique, they have more style, more character. And they actually show us what units they are.

I like the third and the second one. The third one may be too fancy, but they both got depth. And depth makes icons more outstanding from stuff around it, which in return makes them more readable.

The same thing with the shadow underneath. If that wasn't there it would look really flat and not standing out at all.

Depth may not seem too important for now, but if icons were dual-color, it would be necessary for readability.

See that cyan text? It's hard to read on a bright surface because it ain't got depth.

(mid-post edit: because of my retina screen, it blurs the image so that I can no longer see the pixels. If I zoom in I can see them and the depth around the bottom edges. It actually blurs them very nicely, but they lose depth a little. In-game it would be fine I think.)


With that all said, your icons look perfect to me.

Cool icons! Keep going.
But i think that the sould not have these "shiny" effect.

Two of our new units (the Mobile Flak Tank: The Fusilade and the Gattling Tank: The Cougar) and in the centre, a Boom!

If I could make a suggestion: The Cougar and Fusilade look rather similar. Perhaps the weapons could be more pronounced? Still, they're looking great so far.

How about this?

Using less lines would probably be better for this. Still conveys the same thing, but is less dense with detail and still easy to make out.

Man that's a hard one. My favorites are the ones with the nanolathe colour (but I don't know how that'd look on green team.) I also like the last one and the one with the big gear as its really noticable. Not entirely sure which I'd like to see the most.

Big gear really screams THIS IS A FABBER so I guess that one
