Why the Changes to Doxen are a Good Sign

going to close this since i took us off-topic. but will edit in a response to madsci after lunch.

it's fine to kid around. the forums need some levity. but more to the point: we've got a couple of dudes in here that don't play the game and complain in basically every thread, related or not, about the same things without offering any sort of feedback the team can react to or consider realistically. it's "the game is doomed," or "this is hopelessly broken uber refuses to deliver" stuff i'm talking about. when we do explain our reasons, these people also choose to \not listen. they want a game that we aren't making, which is fine, but also no excuse for thread-pooping, which is pretty rampant at the moment. makes our devs not want to participate, makes quieter members not want to participate, and just generally lowers morale for everyone.

we do criticism all day every day 24/7 we can't sleep without it. but there needs to be more value to it for us to actually be able to respond.
