You can easily keep two turrets hacked with no skill regen endorsement while doing tons of other stuff. If you have a bronze skill endorsement and half a brain you should be able to keep two turrets and your firebase hacked at all times while healing and keeping up your area denial. Generally the two turrets I'll hack will be a shave-ice and rock-its near the front.

I disagree so much. Ideally you should be hacking multiple things, but if your firebase is doing its job, it's cutting down bot lanes. You want it hacked to do a better job of that, to control a forward part of the field, and to allow you to place it in a better spot.

A firebase sans hack has a much smaller number of locations it can be effective in, and covers a lot less. Depending on the map, there are places where a firebase can cover both bot lanes PLUS important exits, the annihilator, jump pad escapes, etc. Being able to hold down multiple things with a single turret like that is a huge advantage that pays off immediately. Hacking a base turret (unless it's a longshot, which is less useful than gapshots anyway) will only pay off in the event that someone gets close (and even then, it's less of a sure thing than cutting down bot lanes in the here and now.) I make an exception for ShaveIce because those reach so far when hacked that they can mess with juicers and don't get blinded by smokebombs and product grenades.

Of course you should keep multiple things hacked whenever possible, but most maps (exception for Spunky Cola and Ammo Mule imo) benefit more from a hacked firebase helping your team with strategic map control.

While people do have to start somewhere, I get angry at the people who don't want to start.

Like just last match, we had a fair defense, but two supports and no hacked turrets. I politely say "Can someone please hack our turrets?".

A minute later, I have to ask again, because no one has ever hacked our turrets. I even pointed out it's just holding down left shift for a few seconds. Nothing.

New players are new, and need to learn somewhere, yeah. It's the people who don't want to learn that are the terribads.

I met a new support yesterday. I mean fresh out of the box new and someone was kind enough to give him tips.

Really in MNC anyone can go from nothing to "OMFG cheap hacker spammer noob!" In a few days provided they give the forums a look.

I think a link to the forum in the opening menu or one tip, just one for once to introduce them to the game to get them to the forums.

I mean just look at me.

I'd rather not subject new players to the hell that goes on here.

Oh. Well that makes more sense. (I've had enough people complain about me not baby-sitting a base while I'm locking down the map that I'm used to people saying it unironically.)

this is some what true...they will see all the pointless threads about assassin and sniper being OP but then they will see guides on classes and get better, i doubt they would read them though

Yea, the threads really should make the distinction that while the classes are not definitvely OP the inherent mechanics of both classes one shot kill is unenjoyable for anyone barring those using the class and perhaps should be tweaked to something that still works but isn't a "Press button to win"

Of course some people (Grimbar) apparently don't play for fun, but merely find reward in enjoying the balance, even it is achieved in a fashion that doesn't fit with the entire rest of the games core mechanics for all the other class vs class conflicts, namely mutual player interaction in the form of fight or flight.

You fools, the new players are the ones making the threads about Assassin being overpowered!

Sniper, well, actually is. Confirmed by Scathis!

tell me how the assassin is OP? if your bad enough to get back grappled you should die, they are easy to avoid.

the only thing i see OP about the sniper is that he can sit in his base all game and do his job but that is countered by a decent assault.

assassin power has nothing to do with killing pros

its the juice building potential combined with the ability to keep juice and kill bots while barely exposed.

show me assassins who go for grapples all the time and i'll show you an assassin i'm happy to fight.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I don't think she's on even footing with Sniper or Assault, which I consider far and away the best two classes in the game, but she outperforms the other three by a lot.

Assassin is my second most played class, so this is hardly some kind of butt-hurt gripe. If anything, it's those terribad assassins that give me most of my kills.

Show me you not complaining about Assassin in a thread and I'll show you my O face.

Assassin's only get away with juice spam because they're often the only class in the game pushing lanes and clearing bots. It sucks having a single Assassin consistently come and wreck your base, but you can blame your team for that. She's commonly hated on because the only proper way to play her goes against the current theory that this game is in fact Halo.

90% of assassins only go for grapples that is what is causing people to complain about them, assassins seem to build juice so fast because when she kills bots at melee range she almost instantly picks up the juice drops, ever seen how much juice a gunner gets from a 3 shell mortar? its a lot but people don't notice because they go for pro's so much and its not that hard to handle a juiced assassin, you just got to know how to juice control people
