Why do my threads keep getting deleted?

I read that article right before this thread. Yeah, it's been on my mind a lot. It's no wonder why most devs stay off their forums. It's mostly negative.

I like how Snarf gets into stuff like this whilst forgetting his own ***ing tournament :')

The mods here are pretty lenient with the smiting, in my opinion. I saw your recent spate of deleted posts and threads - surely you've realised that whatever you've been saying is out of order, and you should tone it down a bit? Or do you think the rules should bend to the will of your joke topics and filthy, indecent, lechery-provoking[/b[ images?

On most forums, you'd have been banned for using a "U MAD" image when talking with a mod and I'd be banned for being an arse-biscuit and promoting alcholism and camwhoring - so let's all thank the Gods of Teh Interwebz for what we have here.

Fact: If the devs didn't want people suggesting ideas for their game, they wouldn't put in a Wishlist subforum.

Opinion: These forums aren't that negetive.

I wouldn't say it's mostly negative, it's just that negative feedback stands out in our minds more. There's plenty of people singing praise about how awesome you guys are. Keep up the good work.

This. Snarf, why do you think fan forums would be any more tolerant than the official forums? Uber grants us a lot of freedoms.

I would want to keep things as they are with developers reading and posting on the forum. If you constantly test the boundaries and annoy them they might one day just quit reading the forums. And who would want that?

Eka got it spot on: Obey the rules or make your own forum. There are a lot of companies who let you host a forum for free. Do it!

I've been a forum junkie for a long time too, and I don't see this particular forum as being overly strict at all.

Goooood lord. I stop responding because I don't want this to erupt into a multi-page argument, but even after I say I was done, we have like 8 people come in to put in the exact same 2 cents.

Guys. I made two threads. I didn't think they should have been deleted. They were deleted. I stated my case. The thread deleter stated his. It's over. It's been over. Your 2 cents isn't going to do anything but add fuel to the (no fire, really...more like hot coals that would otherwise be burning out).
