    Someone explain this to me?

There's no downside to hosting modded games that I can see and at least for the time being they're much more fun, so...

Because some people like playing vanilla more than giant game changers that they haven't seen before when they bought it, like statera and boom bot wars

I wonder why mod threads get moved to the modding general discussion, I mean really. It escapes me. :p

I've been making a mod. Some people have been playing it.

I think bigger mods will always be less accessible. My mod only changes commanders and even that is too much to explain to someone just showing up in the lobby randomly.

I suppose because I have yet to get a satisfactory level of orbital changes to make my mod worth playing on the largest scale?

    I dunno, I mean, my mum thinks I am a wizard, so I don't get y'alls problems.

In my case the issue is that for example, It takes waay too long to host some mods like orbital warfare overhaul on my net. When hosting an orbital game sometimes my internet temp dies while it is uploading to uber servers. Another issue is that it takes a long time for some people to login to the match if it is using a large mod like my orbital mod (Since i'm assuming that they are downloading it and the servers that it is downloading from are below average).

If this wasnt an issue, I'd probs almost always host modded.

Why does it need to be in the general discussion? If people want mods they go to a modding subforum, why would a thread on the general discussion change their mind? Which takes more effort to see technically? :p

I can say from my perspective it is because i'm lazy and don't wanna learn everything from scratch again, so i never played the balance mods. I think a lot of players think like me so modded rooms tend to take longer to fill up.

That's also the biggest issue I have. Even the fairly straightforward changes in the Community UberBalance are difficult to explain in one to two sentences, which is unfortunate.
