    I have to say I was quite disappointed about demigod... as I saw the first trailers and teasers. I thought YEAH heroes attack heroes which are half big as the map and then they were the same big..

    TA, heavily modded to strip it down of all bloat, duplication of files and bugs.
    I would have said FA, but a large amount of time I spent with Supreme Commander & Forged alliance were actually making SC:TA, so I figure that actually counts as TA :p

    I modded my own TA, such as taking which units I liked from various packs and unit makers and adding them individually. Used conflict crusher [so many conflicts!] and even created my own map [called it Creon Sea after the tileset it used, think the tileset was from Total Annihilation: Kingdoms]. It had islands in all four corners and one in the middle, rest was underwater.

    Oh and Company of Heroes.

    Dune 2- first rts, so I think naturally I identify with it more.
    Warcraft II - the first RTS I played multiplayer, on a BBS hosted by my internet provider - back then there was no tcp/ip gaming etc. Had to hack ipx/spx to transport over the internet. ah the good ole days. Then years later Kali/Khan clients to find gamersssss
    Homeworld
    C&C - Little dudes! Little Dudes getting run over by tanks! ahhh gotta love it.
    Total Annihilation - hollllly SHIIIIIIIII this is MAAAASSSSSSIVE WARFARE
    Starcraft


    each of these had a profound impact on me, all in their own ways.

    Played a ludicrous amount of Forged Alliance over the years... So I guess it beats out TA. But just barely.

    Its worth pointing out there are a lot of FA mods out there as well...

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure the proper short version of Supreme Commander was SupCom, seeing as Starcraft got SC first.

    Yeah, but who am I to argue with a dev that also carries a banhammer. :3

    Yeah, SupCom was awesome and all but TA is still my first love. <3 Playing it now. ^_^ Sort of halfway through the Arm Campaign.
