Roughly 1.5, as of the one time I played it, 2 days after it released. Roughly the same throughout MNC. I figured I was in the middle of the skill curve for both games. Simply put, I find the game copied MW2, gave it a Snake Eater theme, and improved customizability (which is the one single amazing feature, at least you can make cool designs in a game with broken gamplay dynamics). MW2 became very broken around SMG-rush and quickscope and tubes. All Black Ops did was continue this theme, but removed the quickscope and tubes as worthy opponents to the SMG (not that I cared for them either), and gave the burst fire weapon it's authority back. Like MW2, every other weapon is pathetic. I laughed at how bad some weapons were, and set the game down. I could play MW2 if I wanted to see nothing but UMP45, and not pay $60 more. The only change is some stuff added really for shits and giggles (since a randy tryhard with a broken weapon makes them worthless), and the quickscope and tubes removed and burst-fire re-buffed. SMG remained broken, overused, annoying, played by douchy asswipes, and unplayable IMO. So here I am. How is that MNC everyone?
That's what I thought. Nope, the 3 burst weapons in MW2 were far more lethal due to the 2 bullet kill with stopping power. The M16 in Black Ops is garbage due to the absence of SP, and the G11 is ok, but still not as powerful as the Famas/M16 in MW2. Nope, you could rock any assault rifle in MW2 with the exception of the F2000 and do well. Either high damage with moderate recoil or moderate damage with low recoil, take your pick. The Vector was good, the P90 was good, the UMP was great. You could do well with a lot of weapons in MW2. Same in Black Ops; just because some weapons make more sense to use, because of stats or recoil pattern or whatever it may be, doesn't mean that you can't do well with others.
I really liked the F2000 in MW2, the only gun I actually got Fall camo for. And I like the M16 and the Enfield in Black Ops the best, am I just drawn to quote on quote "bad" guns?
F2000 was good but not as broken as the other weapons, UMP45, Famas, Intervention, TAR21, ACR, and the SCAR. M16 is good in blackops.
I know for a fact that the Enfield is crap gun though lol. Whenever I use a FAMAS, the **** hits the fan.
M16 is outclassed by everything. Formula for black ops success: FAMAS (unlocked at level 14 and attachments are down to preference (although dual mags is gr8 lol)) any secondary (for full douche mode i like to run RPGs) Perk1: any Perk2: any (i normally run sleight of hand pro but to each their own) Perk3: any killstreaks: preferably something that gets kills for you.
Calm down i never said it was the best. I said i was good. Its 1 burst kill need i say more? if you suck at aiming that's your fault.
No one is saying you said it was the best. How about you calm down. You have to land all 3 bullets on target at close range to get a kill. If you're hipfiring, unless you get lucky, you're looking at a 2 burst kill, maybe even 3 depending on where the bullets go. This makes the M16 the opposite of good. That's "bad" for those of you playing at home. EDIT: And like Vortex pointed out, it's not even a 1 burst weapon at long range anymore.
This. Game is just too mechanical and generic. They should have just designed the game with 4 primaries, 2 of which being ak74 and famas. Would have saved them the trouble of wasting time designing unused features. Everyone plays one way, and plays like randy tryhards. Game didn't get boring till that.
No one is forcing you to use the Famas or AK74u. It's weird man. The only people that I hear calling this game terribad are the people who suck at the game. Who would have thought?
Well I wouldn't call it terribad... But it is incredibly boring, for me at least. Treyarch really bombed the stat diversity for Black Ops and I'm a fan of having having guns that don't all feel alike.
Big fan of CoD series actually. Used to be anyway. Still like some titles actually. I may consider getting MW1 to pass some time, and may one day pick up MW3 if they diversify and balance weapons better. I am actually semi-good. I would say I was the best LMG player in MW2 S&D, and I did good a lot of the time. I still found myself raging at what could be a computer program controlling 6 players on the enemy team, because they all played the same ump45 exactly the same way. These players became spam to my playing, I just got fed up you know? I loved to have fun with making 5 classes with 1-man-army and FAL with different attachments and sets for the attachments. I used to like using LMGs with exended mag and FMJ and hosing the map down. I used to like fun oddball classes like that. Yet, the more interesting stuff they put in CoD, the more of an actual handicap it is to use it instead of default AK74 setups.
I think I'll make a thread for CoD4 players now. Bro do you have it? Or did you mean that you might get it? I'd play with you dude.
