I totally agree with that, and yes my opinion too.

We need to redo that kind of thing.

    EDIT:
I think a matching analogy is this:
We currently are allowed to go to an arcade place and play on an arcade machine there.
Once the server is released we can take the machine home and do whatever we want with it.

I would be very happy, and it would built my trust. But I still won't back HR, because I hate the concept of slaughtering humans.

Offline mode is so yesterday, the new word is Playfab, formerly Ubernet. Playfab is an online DRM service developed by UBER, the service is hyped and sold here (http://playfab.com/FAQ.html) . Why would Uber remove playfab service from PA, while marketing it to other developers?

Adding Offline doesn't mean removing PlayFab from PA. It's just like Steam with offline mode - you'd still need to log into playfab to use the Uber Servers when you go online.

And calling PlayFab a DRM service would be like saying forums have "DRM" because you have to log into them. Yeah you could argue it's technically true but the connotations of a DRM service are completely different.

Wouldn't change too much, I'd be a little happier, but there is still much work to be done on the game.

This, but less of a systematic approach, more a random poke about. Maybe document something interesting if other people have not yet done so.

Wait for a save feature to be implemented in addition, then see just how grander battle my computer can handle. A computer which I built partially to run this game mind.

No! I would never have bought (multiple copies of) this game if that was the case. It was said to be DRM/login free in offline mode.

Despite the game play not looking the appealing, the second they add DRM-free/offline and Linux support to the kickerstarter I'll be backing it. Regardless of the availability of PA's local server (though I'll still be expecting it to be delivered in the coming month(s)).

I love PA and Uber. I very much wish them to succeed. The only thing I dislike about the company (for a while now) is the lack of communication.

Don't stress! :) You misunderstood me. Playfab wouldn't be used in offline mode. But it would still be in PA itself, for when/if you do go online via Uber's servers.

Since you asked yesterday, I would assume it was released today.

    --------------------------
I wouldn't back HR, because I'm not interested.

I would post a review (which I have been withholding on account of online-only) on two different sites about how great PA gameplay is.

At the current $15 steam price, I would buy two more licenses as gifts for friends.
    --------------------------

But they didn't release offline mode today. Instead of these things, I will play WoT or MWO or Star Citizen.

I'd be happy and I'd probably fire up blender and model something for a mod.
