Better to get the 'good game' message than bad feedback for spawn camping. Seriously, private matches are the way to go with large parties. You can enforce your own rules and invite anyone you want to play. Hopefully Uber plans on giving us more options in private matches because it would be nice to be able to select the map and organize teams.

The only real problem i see here is that we dont have a viable ignore option or ignore parties option. avoiding a player on xbox live dashboard does noting in this game, it just makes them very slightly less frequent occurence. just a setting to put in the multiplayer options. i think this would solve alot of bad blood here.

it has become apparent that the very good players have gotten too good for gen public matches as is. I respect what both sides are saying and honestly until someone like scathis or eka tells them that they are doing something that is bad for the game community, then they will continue to be in the grey area of 'it's more fun than ending the game in less than a minute.'

but seriously think about it, why make a group of twenty people stop playing when that group is more than 50% of your online forum community content. lol. at the same time, do you let those twenty people, who have helped create an atmosphere of awesome and been skilled examples of what you could play like if you put in time, alienate your noobs?

i mean, i have told every one of my friends in real life about this game and of the ten or so who have followed through and even gotten it, they have all stopped playing after a night of crossfire. honestly by having a 'no teams' or an actual viable way to avoid we may beable to keep more newcomers and not have to convince them to come back. only two my friends actually bought the game, one left for Reach, the other stopped playing because of the rolling. the rest decided that the bad times in a nightful of crossfire was not worth 15 dollars and that they would only buy it if it was fixed. its gotten worse since then, so yeah.

we would play a bunch of blitz for a night or two, then i would go do my thing while they hung back for a week or so and learned everything. they would love it to death i would get excited as **** that maybe i could get some friends who i knew that would be friends and we could have a small team. 'YES! i can start to even hope to compete and have fun with the 99 tier with some practice.' but then everyone but one quit the game and began to bash the **** out of it because of crossfire -between team rolling, bad host migrations, glitches(old concern i guess), and for two of my friends there were harrassing text, voice, and mic conversation from an entire team of 99s.

its frustrating that the twenty or so really good players that frequent here , only three or four will allow it to be said that the steamrolling they can dish out is somewhat bad for the community. yes i know its a game, yes i know its quittable, but why not just try to play in those l33t parties when you got privates going? make your friends preferred and chat with them in in a non-game party and hope that it matches up. i dunno, it's really an issue of ettiquette.
i absolutely have no problem with the spawn camping because most of the time i only see them spawn camping when i am joining a game that is close to five in. not trying to stir **** or anything but if i have at least one person with a mic and a little experience from the beginning of round i can usually try to keep people out of the base and spawn camping isn't going to happen. that said, no one in pubs mics up and most of the mics that are going are twelve year old and jerks who just talk **** about the game being broken and how they are gonna quit out.

most times the only way to be spawn camped is to be so far gone that the game should have been ended already anyway. i guess the arguement can be that people are gonna cry about most anything, i occasionally get angry when i have a 'good' team that is only ranked by time and money and they just walk out and eat it over and over. or they destroy the bots and as soon as a pro comes along they get wrecked.
when i have gotten mad and said rude things i always feel shitty afterwards, but i usually just yell something along the lines of 'where the **** are you guys?!? why are you all just dying?! ******* help me push them off?!' then more cussing then if no one is micd and they don't step it up i bounce. i usually try to run out and get as many kills as i can, but if that doesnt work, i will just wait for a pause and try to find a way out back and try to just **** around killing bots and avoiding the classes and players i know will eat my *******.

i dont want to avoid or quit out on anyone unless they are blatently disrespectful or just toooooo good. I actually like playing against the teams because i feel like it may as well be trial by fire and maybe if i fight them enough they will let me play along with them. also, you do get better alot faster when you play them lots. i realised this after i played them a bunch one night then theygot off or the room changed i got into a pub by myself with no blatant parties and destroyed. inb4 tryhard wannabe. more like wanna not get rolled by a team of the 'mlg' crowd. just putting it out there.

this post is in no way defamatory to 'those l33t 99 " parties. I have respect for them because they are good, im just stating some things i noticed and thought were pertenant to discussion here. i will not respond to agression on this board and i don't believe my post should really elicit much.

Damn! Talk about a first post. After reading that all I could think of was "I feel like playing some MNC!" even though I just shut it off for the night.

And i know why  its cause you suck zee balls.

Now before you get your groupies to come hate on me, shall it be foretold that there are two sides to every story.

@wienermcpeters i only wanted this to be a non-rage conversation. But the immaturity of these " 1337 99' " was a little to much to handle for me. They all need to grow up in my honest belief. And the only reason they get on here is because they have a whole A$$ kissing community behind them. I don't care who you are, if you disrespect me, your gunna get your ear chewed out.

Well If you really want to hear it.
I removed you because I don't like you.
Nothing personal. It was quickly apparent to me after playing some games and chatting with you in party that our personality's simply do not mesh well.
The way you have been presenting yourself in this thread only reassures me of this.

On top of that you were being immature and rude to a friend of mine who joined.

As for the game you played against us, I think you are over reacting.
    It's all in good fun.

Anyone placed in a lobby against me should damn well be prepared for a humiliating melee dirt nap.

So now you are childish enough to make up things. I had you muted. Also, joining the party after slamming the way we play wasn't a very bright idea.

So, I'm curious. Midget, when we were on the same team the other night why did you send me a voice message asking me not to go for the enemy money ball and to "just go for kills"?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like that's more or less what you're angry at these other guys for doing to you.

Monday Night Combat Crossfire is a competitive game. In a competitive game, you will get demolished at times. It happens to everyone. You take it. You learn from it. You get better. Or you don't and you move onto another game entirely. In either case, it's not the fault of a better player for showboating because they're better than you. It may be aggravating... well, tough. It's not middle school. Unless someone's cheating, no one's going to come into the game and chastise someone for being "unfair."

The fact that they went for stupid stuff like straight melee kills means that they weren't being serious. If anything, they were giving you a chance to learn how to counter these tactics.

Maybe you should stick to single player games if that's your mentality because you're going to be facing that type of opposition ALL the time online.

I agree to some extend. Yes, you should deal with losing and try to improve your game. If the others are destroying you, take it like a man.
BUT, if i were a beginner and i would have to face an extremey good team AND all of my teammates are also beginners, that sucks, and the next match it does not change, that sucks hard, and the next ten matches are the same, then i quit (and try a new quickmatch). And that is a normal reaction, and you can tell me otherwise, but i know you would quit as well.

I absolutely agree. I didn't mean to imply otherwise; that you should just sit and take a horrible beating for 20 games. If you're not having fun, then move go to another lobby, but understand and appreciate that it's all part of the game... and it is certainly not something exclusive to Monday Night Combat. Simmer down and don't take it personally.

No one would begrudge you if you decided to quit the postgame lobby after taking an awful loss, but thinking that the other team is somehow in the wrong is not the correct approach.

By "you", I don't mean you, of course. As more of a general term.
