I can see that all the points about 2-step energy were ignored entirely in favor of a debate about selective science.

    Never change, 4cha internet.

So, solar microwave power boost. Yay or nay?

Sorry for double-posting but I had an idea.

    DYSON SPHERES/RINGS!

Basically just a giant swarm of solar satellites that orbit the sun, gaining a lot more energy due to proximity and numbers. Yay or nay?

Depends if there is a orbital layer around the sun, as otherwise, we do what we can already.

Solar arrays have the benefit of being able to move and go between planets, where they can't be shot. They are harder to get rid of than ground based power plants. Thus the balance difference.

Oh so that is intended? Interesting, I though it was a bug.

Which I think is bad. There is presently no way to kill things that are simply hopping endlessly between planets.

I find the advantage of solar arrays is that they can't be nuked and they don't take up ground space. The biggest threat to them are enemy anchors which I think they can outrun.
