Mmm, a space version of the island hopping campaign of the Pacific theater of WWII springs immediately to mind. I wonder how many planetary bodies the engine will be able to handle.

The entire design of the engine is to promote scalability, so essentially the plan is for the Engine to handle as many as your hardware can support in theory.

    Nope, He totally wasn't.

All they talked about on that stream was, "planet hopping" this and "interplanetary travel" that, with a bit of "No spaceships, yes orbital units" thrown in.

i.e. Units that hop between different orbits, whilst in range.

Of course which units can do that? Well that is an unknown factor.
