Voice Over: What Alerts Do You Want To Hear?

    I guess the biggest thing for me is that it is customizable. I'd like to be able to set what gets voice alerts and how often. And when a voice alert is played it also should trigger a normal notification that can be clicked to jump to that location.

    I don't want to hear much voiced chatter (or beeps) in the game,
    it would just become anoying and tend to ignore it eventually.

    Like commander under attack messages, there are to many and to close together, it becomes a bit useless.
    It should just give 1 message unless hes shot again after a minute.

    Same goes for nuclear lauch, if there is a sound, I only want to hear one in while, not get 5 messages in a row because the player sent 5 nukes in 10 seconds.
    I will be keeping an eye on the nuke and notice he brings his bud's along

    An incomming planet sound is also liked by me, but only if we have the chance to do someting about it (send commander trough portal or send him away with an astreus) else its kinda Captain Obvious.

    If I have a planet to myself, I'd like to have a warning if the enemy is approaching. Let's say I have orbital radar, and it picks up enemy units leaving another planet on a course to mine, I'd like to have an audible warning+notification please.

    I would also like David Hewlett to be the voice actor, Rodney McKay style. Pretty please.

    Also Halley's activation should had clear alert for everyone... even if it's a short time (faster than normal spacecraft :/) it can be a difference between of death and life.
    Other early warning alert could be "incoming ships detected" for ships en-route to our planet and detected by deep space radar.

    I want the voice to tell me that I'm special and important and winning. It should become more insistent about this the further behind I fall. On the defeat screen it should just keep shouting YOU WIN AND YOUR MOTHER LOVES YOU until I leave the screen.

    I feel like I've heard most of the suggestions in other games, would rather hear something new and fresh:
    • [Color] is defeated. "(very rough loud voice) GG [color]"
    • Nuclear launch "Incoming nuclear warhead."
    • Base under attack "Territory is under siege."
    • Army is under attack "We are being opposed."
    • Enemy orbital units over base "Orbital blockade detected."
    • Under attack from siege units "Our might is being challenged."
    • Detected enemy forces on another planet "A new annihilation target has been designated by command."
    • Building complete (first T2) "Our war machine grows stronger."
    • Arrived at planet "Annihilation awaiting command."
    It would also be interesting if the quotes match the commander theme, ie. for the religious faction you would have "The holy land is under siege." and "The unfaithful challenge us." instead of the regular ones
