    No, Uber devs have agreed on multiple occassions that managing an army is more fun than managing an economy, and you can expect the game design to reflect that.

    However, some economy management is necessary, and this game's economy is set up in such a way that hording resources will get you stomped. Really, you could say that about any RTS. You're going to be penalized (by losing games and probably not knowing why) for wasting resources regardless of what the devs do, the question here is how they can make the system more intuitive.
