I plan on selling them to a friend so I don't want to be an arse and rip him off by accident. Still torn on MSI/Asus... Argh, stupid free market.
Just compare the prize, standard clock speeds and fan noise/efficiency. Then you might find the 'best' one Like I said, I am very happy with my MSI GTX 770, but I bet the Asus one is great too
@Geers This. I prefer EVGA for their Step-Up Program, and their looks, but any reputable brand is just as good as the rest I have an i7-3770k @ 4.8GHz on the Hyper 212+ and it's a great cooler. The EVO is slightly better so you won't have to worry about that part at all. (Though CM's fans stink, I put aftermarket ones on since they'll last longer.)
Ok I'm going for the MSI card. It's slightly cheaper and has better reviews on New Egg. I'm pretty sure my motherboard is all good but I'd appreciate a confirmation from someone else. 6+2 pin connectors for power are the same as 8 pin, right? RIGHT!?
Your mobo will support it without issue. In fact, I'd love to have it, even though I like Gigabyte more. Yes. Edit: make sure not to use the 4+4, that's for your mobo, not GPU. What CPU are you using? If it's not an i5 or better, you're likely wasting that GPU's full potential.
Can anyone recommend a good place to buy it from? Australia Post has a parcel forwarding service now so don't worry if they don't ship outside whereveryoulive-ville. I'm thinking NewEgg or Amazon.
I'd say Newegg, but I'm biased because they always give me 1 day shipping since their warehouse is an hour away from my house... I heard Amazon uses drones to ship in Australia though?!
