I don't necessarily think the true Gamer base has become extinct yet though. They're just spread thin throughout too many games created for the exponentially growing Player base. It also seems that more and more people find that the invasive Poser base of Players, reserved for Trolls, Flamers and the like, is more appealing than becoming a respected Player or even a true Gamer.

Truthfully I can't believe that more Gamers haven't chimed in on this thread with support. It's probably because once they do they know it'll be open season on them by the Poser base that only try to personally discredit the Gamer instead of contemplating and debating the state of the gaming industry nowadays and stated issues in the original post.

DeadStrench, as I stated to you in PM I'm not Digi. I have my own Steam account and I'm his roommate so of course we'll have the same IP. The reason I bothered signing up for the forums and posted in the thread is because I believe everything in Digi's OP and these are things he and I have debated over since buying the game.

Some of the people in this thread will even recognize me as [OG]ArcAngL and know that I only really play 95% Support with a dash of Assault. I know for sure that Digi and I have played in the same games at the same time as Arson1st and Sunny Dove just to name two.

Anyway, I'm sure this thread has run its course (and then crashed into a mountain, drowned, was hit by a truck and then some...). My comment on this topic is: If you are playing a game for any other reasons than to have fun or because you make money by it (pro player, reviewer), you are clearly doing it wrong. Competition can be fun, depends on the person. I hope it's friendly competition though.
