I hope it doesn't make planetary assaults too easy. If you can just drop troops anywhere it kind of makes a mockery of careful defence.

BTW: @jables: That cannon needs strong limitions like huge spread or slow fire rate or long "hovering time" till the bots are landing, otherwise it´ll screw up everything!
