I taunt a lot. I see it purely as money-making functionality and there's no gloating or malice in it. I just want to be able to buy my damn gunner grapple faster so I can HUGZ YOU!!!!

If you do it because they're a jackass, more power to you, I just dislike it when people do it to be mean because they're under the impression they are better than you.

I play MNC with some friends who aren't all that great at the game, and yeah I mother hen at times, but seriously, don't pick on them if they aren't that good because it makes that person feel better about themself :( I think the only time I ever get remotely angry in a game is when my friends get teased. If someone picks on me and I get one kill off of them, great, I'm done. But if they do that to a buddy, one kill off of the guy isn't enough >:C I hope that doesn't make me sound mean or something o_O

There isn't any point in taunting a noob anyway (other than the money you gain). There isn't any sport in it. However, if I come out of a 1 vs 3 fight as the victor, you bet your *** I'm going to taunt.

You're crazy if you don't taunt after every kill possible at the start of the game. Getting as many skills up asap gives you a massive advantage and just leads to more and more coin to spend. But yeah you can usually tell if someone is doing it to rub it in, that's half the fun, kill them and do it in their face.

A taunt is deserving if a person does something really freaking epic I think, after all I thought this was unsportsmanlike taunting thread? Although, I did have this one game with two Snipers being butt buddies next to each other trying to shoot a buddy Sniper across the map (Grenade III). I snuck up behind them and shanked a few times then melee killed them both at once. It was hilarious and I will admit, I had this brief moment where I considered taunting... I wonder how much money a double kill taunt would have gotten anyways. Do we get bonus money for melee kills? Because those deserve some extra cash xD

@th3cozy: You can make tons of money just killing bots, turrets and pros without taunting xD Playing straight without a single upgrade or buying anything or taunting as an Assassin, you can make an easy 15K within the first five minutes without trying.

AFAIK taunting after double/triple kills doesn't net you any more money than taunting after a single kill.

Also, I agree with the bonus cash for melee kills (not dagger/sword of course), since they can be hard to pull off in the first place. Not much extra, maybe just a total of $50, $25 for the kill and $25 for the melee finish.

It's funny, I like never consider dagger/sword kills as melee kills simply because you use the attack button rather than melee. Keep forgetting those are "like" melee kills. Extra money would make melee kills more desirable :)

And oh okay, I assumed the taunt would apply to both kills at once or something.

I forget that it even has an emotional component, it's just automatic to taunt ASAP after a kill. It's only after the really harrowing kills that I actually pause to appreciate the actual taunting aspect of it. I see no sense in taking it personal.

I generally don't taunt unless I just get a free opportunity. Sometimes, if I take someone down who's been dogging me all game I'll taunt IMMEDIATELY after the kill, retaliation from the enemies be damned.

I will taunt any sniper I kill, even if I pass the duration for getting the money (meaning they won't see it) for it. I hate snipers, I hate watching them, if I see the sniper emblem (the crosshairs) I see a target. If I kill a sniper in their base I will taunt IN FRONT OF THEIR SPAWN DOORS.

    I hate snipers. :O

The GREATEST joy is when someone kills me and backs off a sec to taunt, and I see a friendly assassin running up behind them... >:D

Are you kidding? That's EXACTLY why I taunt. The thrill of a possible backstab? I get off on that, man! The thrill of being found, it's like having sex in public!

You're a dishonorable bastard if you taunt, and you are ruining the community, not only should you be banned, but David Sirlin says you should be imprisoned for your crime against nature.

start playing assault and ringing out people. you will get enough money off the extra-reward-ringouts to not need to taunt after long lmao...

I always taunt when I feel it's safe. As a Support it can be hard to gain cash, so taunting after a kill is one of the best ways.

As a Sniper I taunt all the time.(almost every single kill unless Theres multiple people I need to kill). And I have a habit of fliping out the SMG and using its taunt just because its so much more insulting looking. And im perfectly ok with causing 4/6 of the other team attempt to kill me while my team steam rolls into their base. Also raging assassins who just run at you the same way everytime and get trapped deserve to be 9-ironed off the map.

EDIT: Just checked. 53% are avoiding me. It was 10% prior to playing MNC. Awesome :D
