    no it wouldn't, the opposite rather as it would limit the strategic options available to you ... it would enforce going t2 as those are stronger than t1 meaning t1 bot spam being far less effective do to missing numbers ... multiplanetplay would be less dynamic as you spread your forces thinner and thinner in order to defend larger terrain .. and this can be frustrating to some ...

    I don't think the unit cap should count for buildings, since they barely affect server performance. The game mostly slows down when one selects a large group of idle units and send them somewhere else, so it should just be a mobile unit cap ;)

    Next to unit cap, why not add a list of disabled units, so lobbies can choose to disable nukes and artillery stuff. I always used to switch off nukes back in the supcom days, I hated them. In PA I don't hate them though ;)

    Thank you for the AI adjustable unit cap, I'm sure it will help a lot with late game slowdown. Especially with the save game option now in place that allow for much longer skirmish games. :)

    There was already a cap, I just added a way for people running custom servers to adjust it (or remove it). There were other changes added to PTE to help alleviate lag in large unit count games.

    Yeah I had noticed that the game was running much smoother just lately. But thanks for the option to now play against a finite number of units. Much appreciated.
