general consensus from xbox payers who have tried would tell me otherwise.

    ^ this

But peoples ideas of fun are different. So I think I'll stick to MNC with the other 4.5k weekly players. What the hell would we whinge about if we had an update/glitch fixes anyway?

Ha, good point. SMNC has changed a lot over the last 25 updates and as long as you have a decent PC, no cost to check it out.

I keep forgetting about the rule change thing and constant updates. The game may be quite different to what I tried. I shall have to re-check it out.

And why do you think that is? We're not getting an update/DLC/bug fixes and we all know and have accepted it (well, almost all)...
but never mind that - spill the beans in the OT thread ;)

Edit - awwwww... other thread let down.

I know we have, I just didn't understand why you said that when nobody does it.

Still unsure about things, but it's all good.

I think it might have been more for comic effect. But I could be wrong.

Few things - did you guys know the the full process of releasing a game and updating it on xbla when you were making mnc? if not, why not? and if you did why go ahead and release the game knowing you wanted to release x amount of dlc? you said yourself mnc wasn't built to support dlc after spunky. why? also you said Ms is a business partner. hows that when smnc is pc only and you have no plans to release smnc on xbox? do you guys want to work with them again or has the situation with mnc put you off making any more games for 360? was uber really forced to quit support for both platforms or did you plan to quit support over x amount of time? lastly why can't you release smnc in the same way as gotham city impostors? you can have micro transactions AND sell the game. Im sure there are ways around releasing smnc on 360 but in MY opinion I don't think you guys want to work with Ms ever again.

As somebody who has been a thorn in Uber's side for over a year now, I can tell you that I actually side with them on this. It's not Uber; it's microsoft. I don't understand enough about coding to know the full intracasies of why they can't do it, but they are not the only game that's been screwed because of bad policy. Dungeon defenders, castle crashers, to name a few. Torchlight has absolutely no intention of ever doing another Xbox sequal (though Torchlight 2 is coming to PC), and even Blizzard has mentioned that Diablo 3 is more likely to go to PS3 than Xbox if (now it's when) it gets a console port.

Also, Tom, I gotta say - SMNC looks sick. I signed up for the Beta and will begin playing it soon. TBH, it's going to be way better than MNC...MNC players who have tried it don't like it because it's DIFFERENT. And it is - it's a different concept, but that doesn't make it any worse of a game.

Uber realizes what they are doing - they realize that their strongest current fanbase is on Xbox, and I'm sure that they wish they could cater to uhts simply because we are the sole reason why they have the resources to make SMNC in the first place. But unfortunately, Microsoft sucks, and the only logical step for them to take is to start fresh with a new system (Steam). They realized that the Halo mechanics implemented in the Xbox version don't work as well on PC (which is why MNC PC didn't have as much success as MNC360, despite better support), so they have developed a better system that is an innovative new system in an already fast-growing game genre.

To put it simply, the XBLA model doesn't support the sort of game Uber wants to offer.

I think a better question to ask would be why they seemingly led the Xbox community on for months, letting them believe that there would be an update coming when in reality they had already decided to drop XBox altogether.

Just kidding I love yous guys. :ugeek:

If uber didn't know the process about updating xbla games while making mnc then fair enough (hard to believe when most have worked in the gaming industry for years and I doubt Ms would hold back that info) but if they did know that means there was a huge chance the dlc they "wanted" to release wouldn't be released. they said mnc 360 could only handle 1 dlc thats why all the changes needed to be made. why did they not build it to support the other 2 packs? same with the mod tools on pc. it makes no sense. they wrecked it from the very beginning before all the talking about changing codes,40k a patch ect. I honestly think it was intentional to mislead 360 and pc players in order to make a free2play game.
