Uber, I beg of you, fix the default classes.

    trial players will do awful with these classes because they will continue to pick assassin and face-grapple tanks.

    That honestly is not a bad idea for the trial. Gives them another incentive to buy and keeps them from sucking so bad all interest in the game dissapears.

    New players are drawn to the game because of the Assassin. We've seen the same thing on PC Beta.

    All three of my friends I normally played with all started playing Assassin. Two of them still do.

    I preferred the fatties.

    If that is the case, at least give assassin silver armor so the assassin's will stop getting 1-shot by assault level 2 charges, level 3 bomb, and many more.

    This will allow new players to have more opportunities to learn and adapt, which ultimately helps them decide to buy the game or not.

    Gold Speed
    Silver armor
    Bronze skill recovery

    To be honest, I have no problem what-so-ever with the default Assassin, Tank, Support, Gunner, or Assault. I see the reason for the default Sniper is to maximize the power of Juice, even at mid range with the SMG.

    I suppose I should give some reasons since people are going to say "OMG JOO NOOB GTFO MAH INTERWEBZ AND UZE CUSTOM CLAZZEZ":
    Assassin: Default allows me to get into position for a kill and maximize damage. If I die, it was an error on my part, either judgmental, situational awareness, or just plain stupidity. Even when I ran a custom with silver armor, I died just as often as when I used default. Why? When I get caught I'm screwed if I didn't get out with a smoke bomb. I prefer having more killing power from silver crit than increased "survivability" with silver armor that doesn't actually get any practical use from me.

    Tank: My custom is actually Gold Armor, Silver health regen, Bronze Skill recovery, so Bronze reload allows for more death blossoms as opposed to more grenades and charges.

    Support: His skills are his primary strength, and staying alive is essential to be able to assist allies. Absolutely nothing wrong here.

    Assault: The rifle isn't as efficient with the default, but it makes his secondary better for bombardments.

    Gunner: I'll admit I'm not great at pro killing, but the default allows the Gunner to be able to use his greatest strength as often as possible. Gold clip size minimizes the need to reload, and silver reload of course means that his reloads are relatively short. Bronze speed allows him to get into position to use his guns quicker, as well as pursue.

    That's like asking if the Heavy from Team Fortress 2 uses his PhD in Russian Literature, "more than you think". Yes I do have silver rate of fire on my custom Support, but I stand by my statement that his skills are his strength. No other class is able to enhance turrets and bots like the Support, and I'm sure you know how powerful that airstrike is, since only Jackbots and Juiced Tanks can reliably survive them.

    Let me narrow this down for you a little.

    Have you tried overhealing a turret or teammate with no fire rate endorsement?

    Yeah, the skill regen is nice, but how often do you really keep 4 hacks going during crossfire? How often are you dropping your firebase? Is having your air strike ready a couple seconds quicker really worth that awful fire rate?

    you keep your skill regen, I'll keep my turrets and teammates alive, thank you.

    I don't think the default classes are truly horrible but leave you with a few options and hints at their true skills.

    sniper- crt may seam out of place but when he's juiced firing off explosive shots it's extremely offensive.

    gunner-clip size just maximizes the bullets he can dish since his passive and deloy add crit/acc/and dual mini adds rate of fire.

    Armor and health on tank are overkill to his passive 3 and deploy 2.

    Assault- this gives the rifle a little buff

    Assassin- creates overkill for speed

    Support- he's got the worst skill regen in the game so it makes sense and fastest health regen in the game.

    Basically these classes generate a stronger offense or defence... not a balance

    I'm just sayin, the base support needs a fire rate endorsement. Make it bronze, I don't care. Not saying you remove his skill regen at all. As it is, the base support has no fire rate endorsement. Keep the skills at Gold, just throw fire rate in somewhere.

    My issue was with the initial statement that there was "absolutely nothing wrong" with the base Support.
