Peachy is off the charts in intangibles and hustle. He gets dirt on jersey like no other. I've never seen him jog to first base or not use two hands to catch a routine fly ball. The man is a gamer.

And as a side note, Deadeye, kills are facist. Spread the ball around a little.

THIS IS FROM THE PEOPLE I'VE PLAYED WITH/AGAINST A LOT. I REALIZE THERE ARE A LOT OF GOOD PLAYERS, BUT I HAVEN'T SEEN THEM PLAY.
I'm putting the top # I feel, but those people are in no particular order. I'm also not putting myself.

    Assault:
    Xenonex
    BackIn10

    Assassin:
    BoltAktion
    Lief

    Gunner:
Deadeye (I've only played with him for like literally 1 minute but it's obvious)
    Rannek

    Support:
    SXD

    Sniper:
    Kaptain K Rool
    ForeverZerone
    SIGMAR
    Xenonex

    Tank:
    Hudson

I am extremely tired right now so I'll finish/edit this later.

#1. Obifett can't be the new forum Me, Jen has definitely taken my lessons well
#2. I feel us "pros" should change our clan tags to WAR, just so we can explain that we can't explain it.
#3. Coug, don't talk in code to me boy. I'll bacon on your face.
    #4. I like numbers.

Lol Tiger, you were beastin me in that match yesterday, and I couldn't think of a #3. Then I remembered the horror that was playing against Backin10, Xeno, and Kapn. Bolt Aktion is really good at assault to, he'd be #4.

I'm pretty curious as to how Coug is calculating WAR myself.

WAR for those not initiated in the whirlpool of a headache that is baseball statistic stands for "Wins Above Replacement." It's an attempt to quantify in one stat by aggregation of other statistics the usefulness of a player to his team in offense and defense relative to the ability for said team to replace him with a player available "off the wire" and still win. I guess in this case, it's a random public player?

This is a great article if you guys actually want to read more about it but some of the values are irrelevant given you have to make up a "usefulness" value for each "position"(class) in this game in regards to how much having a good player of that class would help a team win a game.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_le ... mlb-211211

As there aren't a huge breadth of statistics for Monday Night Combat, this is hard to quantify, I would think. It's easier for a sport like baseball where a good pitcher is the most "important" player on a team that can contribute to a team winning and therefore is given more "weight" in his WAR value because of the position he plays. I would be interested in seeing how Coug might have quantified this. From the article : "The usual scale is that 10 runs(kills?) is equal to one team win." I am assuming that Coug has scaled this somehow to a mean value for the amount of kills normally needed to be beneficial to a team in a winning game(which numerically is equivalent to a positive WAR.)

As best I can explain it without going too much into number crunching(some of which I assume Coug has simplified by himself by eliminating position value?) is that WAR is a numerical way to look at the value of a player to his team in contributing to a win by that team in relation to how well that team would've done had that player been replaced by a person of "average" skill(WAR value of 0.)

Of course, Coug can chime in too because I'd like to know a bit more myself how he's actually calculated these stats for MNC players. I'd like to know what he might be using for correlating data in some of the statistics that are used to calculate WAR. Are you taking assists into the formula somehow? That might be a "defensive" stat, since you're contributing to a kill(out) on your team?

Sorry for derailing the thread more, this might have even been too wordy too to help.

Without revealing too much of the process, I have to admit that I weighed kill-prevention more highly than most stat heads would. Hence Deadeye falling below Peachy Pony by such a large margin. Also, stat-padding during garbage time hurt many of the top players.

Support is the most difficult/skewed class for me to rank because their ability to heal/support is very hard to measure outside of their own team, especially after the air strike nerf of the Dlc. That's probably why my support tier is completely composed of close friends of mine, and does not include hostile/pyro/etc.

Good support can mean many things.

I've seen Wingman Master single-handedly destroy teams and go 50-2 K/D. He's just a shotgun whiz. No firebase, no airstrikes.

I suck with the shotty, and I lean on my firebase like a crutch.

I do, however, heal the heck out of my team mates. Not just to build juice, but I understand that an overhealed gunner, tank or assault stands a much better chance of disrupting the enemy teams operations than I do with all my tools.

The way I see it, good support should be like a good fullback. Take the hits so the "skill" players can get the big yards.

Sadly is right. It's hard to tell if you're a "good player" when you go 9-16-12.......

Oh well, someone has to built/upgrade/hack turrets.

I still see myself as a good support. If I'm on a list or not.

I would like to see Wingman in action. Is Wingman a forum member? Wouldn't mind seeing a video or something.

I don't think I have ever seen him post on the forums, but I can vouch for his beastliness. Hands down one of the top 3 supports I have ever faced.

I find it funny at how biased this thread is.
    Thanks Hudson for the mention.

I think "OxyTEAM" needs it's own forum section. Just saying.

My only experiences with Wingman Master are on Spunky where I only saw him twice (both times he was juiced. He claimed to have gotten juice extremely quickly from juice boxes yet I never saw him) where my team lost then on LazeRazor where I killed him before he got juice every time and my team won. <_>
He didn't seem all that special. Maybe I ran into him on a bad night or something.
