Umm.. no it isn't. It's getting plenty of good and bad and undecided reviews. In general it looks like the 360 reviews are bad because of the texture pop-ups and lag (which they're patching). The PC reviews tend to be complementary. People expecting a TF2 experience are getting facerolled and think it's too complicated. People who played and loved Wolf:ET and/or Quake Wars are loving it. Overall it looks like the majority like the game. Check metacritic. overall reviews are positive there too.
Just finished lvl 20 (Medium, soldier) This game is awesome, i didn't expected how much can random people cooperate (Thanks to great XP system)
Brink is getting free dlc next month, maps and challenges with something new. They also updated the 360 twice this week with server side patches witch dont need to go through microsoft. A good game just got even better.
Yeah i cant wait for the DLC next months, im hoping for new weapons, appearance (fav part of the game), maps, challenges, (question! can you only get stars by going solo? or can you get the stars by doing the challenges with your friends?), and abilities like air strikes for engineers to clear out an area
You have to do them on your own to unlock the weapons and sights and stuff, but they can be played with friends when you have all that stuff.
engineers with airstrikes???? please shut up and stop trying to make this game sound like or be anything like MNC....
Actually there was an airstrike in Wolf:ET and Quake Wars:ET and it was pretty devestating. Although I don't think it fits either the setting of Brink or the maps.
Ahh yes, that was awesome. I loved how from across the map you could look back and watch your missile launch.
So have they fixed the lag issues yet? I have a bad taste in my mouth from this game, most of it from lag. I want the lag to be fixed before I form a real opinion based on gameplay. I'll probably be playing Section 8 Prejudice until they do.
Everyone already seems to be doing their own thing by the time I log on. Also, is it my imagination, or are a few of the campaign missions really short, but only made long by dieing?
Well there are a few missions that only have 2 objectives but with and against actual players or harder bots it becomes a long back and forth struggle. Also you can play Co-Op with anyone. Co-Op is a team of players against a team of Bots.
no i actually got the idea of airstrikes from BC2 (mortar strikes) how it can clear an area or destroy things
