This is a really interesting problem, though. If part of their team is keeping you from getting out and the other part is shooting the moneyball and escorting bots, then they are actively trying to win. Which, imo, is not a problem. Its just area control for the purpose of completing the objective.

Area control, ignoring the objective, and for the purpose of just racking up kills and prolonging an already decided game, is most definitely griefing.

I agree. I have mostly ever had the problem with ShammAss. I have him and his team all muted, and if I see the muted icon I just drop the game in hopes of another one, or play something else. It has happened a few other times that I have seen, but not too much really, maybe 10% of the time if that.

its only spawn camping if they suck too much to get out of the spawn.

To be fair each team spawns on opposite sides of the map.

For me, spawn killing is when you could easily end the game in about 10 seconds, but instead you choose to juice chain for kills at the other team's base and intentionally ignore the moneyball.

so in other words, if your name is deadeye, then your spawnkilling.

not trying to instigate, but... but seriously, no homo man.

it isnt like a lot of people dont do nothing but juice chain. in matter of fact, if ONLY deadeye did it, id be more than fine with it. its when everyone does it and you cant escape it is when its horrible. so more than 18 people have ruined it for the rest of us.

The only time it really bugs me is when I join the game, someone is like 38 - 12 - 2, and then the game goes into a chained host migration, then fails after the second time and freezes my game.

When it happens in a game that I have played from the beginning, I remember its what I get for playing with randoms or trying out a fail class.

That's the name they use is in the tutorial for using the block list on here. BTW It's called 'Friend' or 'Foe' lists.

The "User Control Panel". High left side of your screen.

Of course people aren't going to kill an entire team and then wait for them to spawn, leave, get all set up, and maybe get a few kills in and THEN react to them. I'll often run interference up top while the team is taking out the ball down below.

If I'm playing assault I'll throw a bomb down, but that still leaves 2 doors and mostly its a deterrent that shuts down a door rather than a kill factory (but hey, if that one assassin walks out the same back left door 5 times in a row only to die that is not really my fault) And like I said for me its a means to an end. I keep them busy and the money ball goes down. I never get a good amount of kills there but that's not what its about.

Spawn camping to me is when 1 or 2 people are able to completely stop an entire team from leaving all 3 of the doors. Mostly it falls on snipers with 3 traps or a couple firebases from some dual healing supports that make it literally impossible to leave. At that point its not a question of "being good enough to leave" as it is a question of "why does each sniper get 3 traps that freeze everyone".

I had another personal experience with spawn camping yesterday, but I have to say it ended up positively, and my team won.

Spawned in a pub with my team already locked down. I've been working on support lately, so I was already a support when I spawned. I stayed in the room and tried different things, overhealing everyone that died or just came back in, and upgrading only airstrike. I also recently switched to the tactical layout which helps a TON when throwing ****. Basically I would pop out just long enough to throw an airstrike and pop back in. If they stood right at the door I would taunt until they got annoyed or looked away, then BAM, incoming airstrike. Lots of them landed on pros and I ended up with 2 mega streaks (I got cocky once and stayed out too long on a juice.) This broke the spawncamp, we were able to get out, and the other team started ragequitting, which was hilarious. We won with about a minute thirty left in the game.

Sidenote: it appears to also be possible to overheal a turret close to the door from inside the spawn if done correctly.

    Yay! A positive note!
