Brink was such a disappointment. Got me all hyped up to preorder it, then I think I resold it within a week or two. Plus the multiplayer had some terrible lag in the beginning.
Brink was a fantastic game. Though I am a huge fan of Splash Damage and knew exactly what I was getting into because it played just like their past games.
Brink was... okay. The main issue I had from the offset was lack of female chars. I don't care if it's an FPS and you never see, it still makes a difference for me, and makes me glad Titanfall has that option. Brink did a really good job of integrating story into multiplayer, but in a fairly linear way and the game clearly had issues people saw in it (as someone with very little playtime in it, I won't comment on the issues). It remains to be seen how Titan deals with story in competitive multiplayer, since as far as Audio options show the beta is in "Classic Multiplayer"
Even comparing to their previous titles Brink was a pretty shitty game. Seriously when was the last time you played a game that shipped with unplayable broken sound?! The game clearly didn't have any technical and gameplay QA.
I played it on 360. The only bad thing with the 360 launch was the lag and the "party" system. I guess I'm just one of the rare ones that loves Brink.
just mentioned Grunts, and it was my first time really playing with them. They’re bots, assigned to both teams, to pad out the numbers and fill in the maps
