Thoughts on the new commander(s)?

Well I'll freely admit I know absolutely nothing about 3-D modelling, I'd assumed in my layman's way that the basic movement animation would be the same for all comms of the same chassis type but other than that the art team would be pretty much free to exercise their creativity (is this what you mean by the mesh? I apologise for my complete ignorance). It sounds to me like this could allow quite a wide range different designs, torso and headshapes, arm mounts etc etc, especially as they'll hopefully release more chassis most release.

I would love to see a commander chassis based on the land HK from the Terminator series.

Well if by "new" you mean from January.... ;p

But the whole point is that there isn't a huge advantage to be found within the Commander as long as things are even somewhat balanced, not to mention the point is that people will find a commander that suits them.

The thing is that you are still very limited by the Rig, the arms might look different but they still need to be in the same place and in general have the same proportions. The Rig can't have bits moved around so you can't do something that is very wide in the shoulders while another is skinny for example.

Well the Theta Commander will be in the mix too so that's more than the main four (I was under the impression that there would be 4 then one for each backer who donated a certain amount of money).
