It is not a double negative. "We can't not control what we can't not control" would be a double negative. Ekanaut effectively used a double positive which is a positive, meaning he can't control it. But what do I know anyway, english is my second language...

You are using the wrong defination of "negative". In the case of the double negative, it refers to negation, not negative connotation. The object of the first part of the sentence, "can't control" is reiterated - the original negative is not negated in this case by the second negative, because it is just a restatement of "can't control" and does not modify the original object of the sentence. I only know this because I come from a "double negative is negative" language which is very different from english and it took a while to learn. It was a big sticking point in ESL class.

That's correct, I have never played with any of you guys on the Xbox (with one or two on the PC version though). That means I don't know what's going on in the Xbox community as well as I do in SMNC.

It also means I'm pretty impartial. All that counts is what you do on the forum. You get no special treatment because you are good or bad at playing MNC or because you play troll Support or pub Assault.

I have been around a long time though and while I might not pick up on all the nuances, I have a pretty good idea when the sh!t is going to hit the fan. Or when a thread starts to take a nose-dive and will end in spam. It's not rocket science to predict what will happen after 3 image macros and 5 one-liners.

Right now there are close to 500 threads created every week. A good number of them have more than one page. That means if I find a thread that looks like it's going to end in spam or a flame war it gets a lock. In my opinion that's better than to wait till things go south and somebody needs to take a forum break.

Is the idea of having a 360 moderator taboo to you?

Not to be offensive, but I find it very difficult to take anything you say seriously. You worry me quite frankly. I don't see how someone can say that they want to better the MNC community when just a few pages ago, you were advocating the complete deletion of the 360 forums, you (to me) are just not credible in that aspect.

I don't think we were asking for a moderator who would give us "special treatment". That statement is belittling of the 360 community and shows your general stance on this section of the forum as a whole. All WE want is a moderator that WE can better connect to and understand, no one ever said "I want my buddy to be a mod so I can get away with whatever."

This upsets me as someone who is genuinely concerned about the future of this section of the forums and you, as someone of authority, are exemplifying elements of bias towards this community as a whole and are advocating its deletion.

Some people complain that they need a non bias moderator which is what Jess is so stop asking for a new mod people. To everyone think before you type.

I don't care on which platform a moderator plays. I don't even care if he plays MNC/SMNC at all. DeadStretch, Im Hudson and I worked together very well and I'm sorry that they are both no longer active. So no, that idea is absolutely not taboo to me. And if you think Im Hudson would go any easier on you if he was here right now...

hudson was a good mod and he actually played with most of us from time to time. Took the time to make videos, and represented himself pretty well.

Then I don't see any issue in asking for a moderator from the 360 community.

Nothing in the 360 forums makes me laugh. I just looked through the posts recently and it was mostly trolling or bickering.

They will be bias on the decisions they make, that can be an issue.
