There are worse game types that people can join without realizing than modded ones

I agree with keeping mods well separated from the main game.

In a lot of games, it's actually a launcher option. You launch the modded game or you launch the core game and there's no chance of confusing the two.

Okay, the numbers now sound more reasonable than the science fiction numbers me and my clan mates were seeing before (whatever Illmaren did fixed the stats of 9 of my clan mates, not just my own). But you will excuse me if I place no faith in the ladder anymore. If I have to manually check that every single game I play has been registered correctly, and then take out a pocket calculator to make sure my standing is correct after every game, then I might as well take your advice and make my own ladder lol, which I am not prepared to do because in that case I might as well wait for Uber's.

Besides, there are still gigantic problems. Like for example the fact that I have 8 wins and 4 losses for a win/loss ratio of 2, and am still placed below a bunch of people who have no wins but only a loss for a win-loss ratio of zero. There are literally dozens of people above me who should have been below me. Or is that how an ELO system is supposed to work? I don't know so I am genuinely asking for an answer, because the way things work now it looks messed-up to me.

As for your accusations of ingratitude, you are all misrepresenting me because you are butthurt that someone doesn't appreciate every single last piece of free code that has ever been written in the history of the species. Just because something is free doesn't mean it's also free from criticism, I am sorry. If it will help protect your feelings I can start adding little hearts to the end of all my posts, but the fact remains that I only came into this thread to point out my problems with the ladder because the subject merited it, and I believe I proved my point. I am NOT saying that modders are incompetent or lazy or untalented and that they should be publically flogged. All I am saying is that the work they do IN GENERAL, AS A GROUP, is of a far lower standard of quality assurance than Uber's, and that Uber's decision to safeguard new players from being unknowingly exposed to it is a sound one.

I've done a cursory perusal of the Wikipedia page on ELO, but I didn't come across anything that would indicate it's standard to rank people with zero wins above people with several wins. There are entire BOOKS written on the subject, and Google will not insert those books into my brain without me sitting down to read them. Or you could try helping if you know the answer instead of trying to be a smartass.

Sorry little one but Games against people without PAStats are not rated like games against People WITH PAStats...you got only one Game against People with PAStats so you got only one time good points.

i could do it so that only Games against PAStats Users are listed but then the 2on2 list would be pretty empty ;D

Win against People with more Rating than you you gain more Points
Win against People with less Rating than you you gain less Points

If you play against an Team that has PAStats installed you can gain max 20 Points (or lose)
If you play against an Team without PAStats installed you can only gain max 5 Points (or lose)

lol I don't know where to begin. At least I finally understand why the ladder looks so messed up. And the modder is not only aware of it, but has no intention of fixing it either, because then the ladder would "look pretty empty" lol.
