I'm revising my opinion of crits on a gunner. The biggest trouble I had with gunner were assaults harassing me and gold crits help melt them down faster than gold accuracy - at least for me.

Plus the gold crits seem to really shine in destroying those pesky firebases that your friendly support can't airstrike.

is this without using deploy as in just running around with dual mini's? im guessing gold crit, silver armor bronze RoF?

Yeah that's what I've been using. It makes you feel like you're deployed all the time basically. Mortars are painfully slow though - you can just barely outdamage a support healing and that's rough.

With that build I'll usually only deploy for the extra accuracy.

yeah i used it last night for 1 game before i got off and with deploy you just shred people even without its still amazing, might have to try with silver RoF even though that means less armor but makes the mortar more viable

Probably, seeing as how gold crits gunner is goddamn amazing against bad players.

What about Assassin? I saw a suggestion for a gold/silver crit and RoF combo for shruikens. Apparently the crit-shruikens from cloak 3 do absolutely insane damage against pros and can easily for a player to back off.

I use that setup. Unfortunately, having been on the receiving end of gold crits gunner, I switched my vote.

Armorless Gunner? Not often I see going armorless as a viable tactic, especially given how slow the Gunner moves, but I guess in practice the Gunner will out-damage the enemy by a significant margin.

    I shall try it.

I would very much not recommend a no armor gunner. Even in a supporting "stay around your allies" role you're a huge target that's super easy to hit by snipers, assassin stars, and assaults. You're likely going to get focused down in any encounter since you can't escape and you deal large damage when given time to spin up your minigun.

Also gunner juice is extremely important for turret killing and staying alive is a huge part of getting juice naturally.

of course i would only recommend this to top tier gunners (are there any on pc?), it is not for the casual gunner player.

No armor works with crits/RoF/acc but I can't be bothered to change my endorsements.
