This is not a bad idea and from what little glimpses of the MNC cannon we have I know it is possible.

Better advertisement is one option. Maps would most certainly be needed for player retention.

One of the things I've noticed from my most recent teachings is that many players are open to the idea of getting help. The thing is that they don't know where the forums are or how class roles work. They will ditch MNC if they don't learn.

Another free weekend would fail for the reasons above. No class descriptions or opportunities to learn and they loose it.

Have you ever played the DBZ budokai series for the PS2? I think the tutorial system used there can be utilized in MNC to great effect. For each class, there is a general section which teaches the role and basics of each class, then the players can pick and choose advanced techniques to go through not directly stated by the game.

<p>The training should be fast paced so as to not bore the player, and should be liberally advertised in game, but not forced (except for fail Sins. ), as well as simulated exercises and single player Crossfire modes that use AI instead of requiring online play.

    Actually yes.

The only thing is it comes down to how easy is it to implement. Uber's main disadvantage is that it is small and all the good stuff MNC needs (Maps, Tutorial, Bugfixes) are slowed in development and implementation by the engine and the few people they have.

I've been spending time pondering the simplest methods that would be the most effective.

One has been placing a link to the forum somewhere. Another has bees simple rearranging the way the menu's are presented so that the tutorial and playbook are more noticeable.

I am preparing myself for a career in game development, mainly programming, and I have found a fondness for the Escapist. On "Extra Credits" there was a video that went over tutorials. I feel it could be applied here.

Sunny, I hope you recorded the match I was in as assault. Otherwise I'll have to do it again.

    Bellissimo!
I believe that playing an offensive Support in itself is trolling the other team. You have no long range weapon, you have horrible mobility and only mediocre health and you are still kicking ***. Hacking an enemy turret is just the icing on the cake...

My video yesterday was a tank gameplay. I need to post more gunner games but it always seem like I get better gunner games when not recording.

I don't usually bump and link everytime I make a video but I'm really proud of this one so I thought I'd talk a bit about it here.

A fairly hard-fought match on Lazer Razer as assault. I killed pros, bots, turrets, and the moneyball. A subscriber was in the video (Fatal Midget). The commentary was solid as far as my more serious, on-topic ones go. The video epitomizes my assault play style that I have developed since PC beta. And oddly enough, my aim didn't even seem off much despite playing all day at 1920x1080 -> dropping to 1280x720 to record. Great all-around video in my opinion. Enjoy!

I don't have any :/. I am only recording maybe ~5% of the time I'm playing because I don't like playing at 1280x720.

    Makes me a sad gunner.

Anyway, watched the video, quite nice but try playing support or assassin for a change.

I like support but I don't often play him unless I have someone to support . I'm an above average assassin at best. I don't particularly enjoy playing her. I plan on doing an analysis and guide for each class so I'll need to play sin to get footage for that but it probably won't happen otherwise.

Nice one! I think there are mostly experienced players left now and you find a couple of good players almost every match. Which is bad for me of course... :D

Haven't posted a video in a while but there's finally a new tank game up. I'm moving in to my new place today. Will be without internet for a while. Expect infrequent video uploads for some time. But rest assured: I am still working on vids even without internet. I'll just have some stockpiled for when I get my internet set up.
