    I had an idea last night, so implemented it this morning. The result: MUCH faster expansion. The southern AI on Forge had 10 factories running at about the 7 minute mark or so.

    When can we expect the AI to use the unit cannon?

    Right now if there are two planets and the AI and I spawn on different planets (metal) the AI has a 0% chance of winning. I go heavy eco, with air to protect against the AI landing. Then T2 land to really get some eco, orbital fighters to defend against orbital fabbers, build some anti nukes.. and then 15 Unit cannons == game over.

    Even on relentless the AI will only send a unit or two at a time over using their orbital.. or a nuke every so often.
    Perhaps I should try relentless and give the AI a 3x bost on the eco settings and see what it does.

    I am not bragging about my skill(as I have none).. Just pointing out where the AI fails to give the battle it's all.

    No idea. It is on my list, but there are other things I am working on, non-AI related, at the moment.

    sorian, are all your "had idea, put it in" automatically put into PTE or are we going have to wait to test the AI out?

    It sounds fantastic, I wouldn't mind testing a less polished and more experimental PTE, including awesome stuff coming into Sorian's mind at night. :D

    That is up to @jables, but generally if a PTE goes out, and it isn't meant to just fix a small issue, the AI changes will be included.

    Just wanted to give a heads on something else I found... AI are terrible at expanding to water planets they do not start on.

    Blue and Brown at one point had been sitting next to each other for 5 minutes before doing something else.
