Out of gits and shiggles the other night I opted to play some Sniper since I knew my team could hold their own. First map I kind of abandoned the rifle and started throwing traps and flak everywhere Second map I'd switched around the endorsements to have Gold skill regen, even more trap and flak spam. Ended up with a decent KDR without using my rifle once
on a side note, why the hell do 250+ pingers headshot so damn easily?! The higher the ping, the harder it is to avoid it seems.
Apparently the sniper rifle's hitreg is client side Some dinking around as Sniper on a 250+ ping server confirms it for me
Which makes sense. Otherwise the hitscan, OHK, semiautomatic quickscoping rifle might miss a headshot occasionally. And we wouldn't want that. Just had another amazing fun match on Grenade III... :roll:
I've been wondering if some Sin hitregs are client side as well as even 200+ Sins have gotten some BS hits
shurikens? dunno Grapples? I've been grappled off of a jumppad after hearing the jump sound and I have been grabbed out of midair, so probably yes.
why the hell is everything client side? It almost make it so the higher ping will always have the advantage since lower pingers cant predict to counter something that hasnt been done on their screen yet. I think i explained that right. Make everything server side so people with high pings have to adjust instead of the lower pings getting glitched out. I have had lvl 3 charges grabbed by an assassin and then LOSE my lvl 3 charge while the sin got no damage.
things that arent clientside: grenade launcher shuriken jetgun charges bomb product grenade (these are the only serverside things to my knowledge)
I still find it rediculous that you can kill a Tank that's mid-charge and then get sent flying by the ghost of said charge by simply walking to the spot you killed him at, even if it's well after his corpse has flown away and started to derez. Assault's Charge doesn't do this, Gunner's Slam doesn't do this. Assault's Bomb doesn't auto-detonate after he dies and Sniper's Traps just disappear Apparently it's "normal" and "intended" :roll:
............................................................................................................. anyway, sniper is the reason im pretty much not playing this game, i will play again after the next update if its worth it, i really wanted to continue to play this but the super small community, the sniper and black clouds just make it unplayable (super small community is towards the Australians in this game, i guess more aussies might play now that im not)
Actually, it happens with Assault too. But in a weird way. You just wont be able to move, as if you got caught in the grapple --------- CMON UBER! LISTEN TO THIS THREAD!!!!!
I've also gotten to the point of nerfing my sniper by running Skill/Armor/Clip size and not upgrading my passive lol.
I think there is a lot of self-nerfing going on in the PC community. Did you notice how few players chain-juice although they clearly have enough money to do it? Gunners only need like $700 to upgrade their skills, everything else could go into Bouncers. Super annoying on Spnky. Most players won't spam them because everybody hates them.
