So, anyone want to help me get a Gengar, Alakazam and Steelix? Also, tips for Clair - the HeartGold Dragon-type Gym Leader - would result in outpourings of sexual favours.

Dragonair takes 2x damage from Ice, and Gyarados takes 4X damage from electricity(he's flying and water. =) ) The only type that Kingdra takes extra damage from is Dragon, but seeing as he is a dragon and uses dragon moves, using a dragon against him would probably suck.

My Gyrados knows Avalanche and Ice Fang, and I dumped a Magnetron and a Jynx in the Daycare Centre.

Magnetron (Magneton?) will probably at least wall Kingdra and you'll be able to hit with fairly decent electric attacks.

Since it's HeartGold, I guess you can't get it to become a Magnezone since it's based on that stupid, geographical evolution bull they introduced in Diamond/Pearl (level up inside Stark Mountain).

That was their attempt at not raising questions, namely: Why couldn't I evolve this before?

Kingdra is an absolute twat in that particular battle, since he's strong against his only weakness. That is all.

I had to grind my Gyarados to about 5 levels higher than the rest of my party.(Ice Fang is important). Then I gave it Nevermeltice and said screw you Claire!

I ended up getting a Glaceon that had hail (along with it's other ice moves) Since it raises evasion during hail, it wasn't hit very often and it was doing tons of damage to her pokemon. For the Kingdra, I think I just grit my teeth and powered through with my Umbreon.

Yeah, Umbreon is a great wall.

Powered through with my Gyrados. Now about those Kimono Girls...

OK, so Dark is weak against...Bug and...Fighting. Right. Totally intuitive. Thing is, my Scyther doesn't know any Bug-Type moves because they're all crap apart from Mega Horn. My Onix knows Rock Smash, I guess? INTRICASM, HALP ME 2 EVOLVE POOKEMON PLZ, STEELIX WIL WIN 4 ME

Well damnit, I never know when you're online!

Use Onix to Rock Smash rocks in Olivine or Cinnewood until you get a Heart Scale. Use it to teach Scyther X-Scissor.

Red/Blue forever, baby. Don't need your new fangled Pokemon up in my gameboys.
