TF2 has team scramble mods, incorporating a version of those those into MNC could potentially help against team stacking.

I don't see a Deathmatch mode working though, simply because in that gametype usually doesn't have an objective to go after, and leaves room for excessive camping. Maybe if objectives were woven into a new gametype where you scored points for killign other players, but it won't be worthwile without a bunch of modifications.

The grapple glitch is a major deturrent for me. I try not to exploit it, but it doesn't stop others using it on me.

I could not get into that game at all. Maybe it was the fact that after I bought a vehicle and accidentally slipped off of a cliff my money was wasted and so was my time driving. Why is it that every road has a cliff that seems to be 10,000's of feet in the air?

There's tons of stuff coming down the pipe to keep interest up and the community alive. We're committed to the game and will keep working to improve it. There's a bunch of stuff we're doing behind the scenes to make it easier for us to add content and features in the future. Still, expect some cool new stuff soon.

Good to know. I guess PAX and GDC is a real time taker when it comes to games. Nice to know the devs are working on it. The player base is getting very up tight as of late with a lot of people playing the "wait and see" game waiting for a patch or something new.

    Thanks

"might" be to late then.. *cough* *cough*

way to many good games are coming out in the coming weeks/months

and if the "new content" isn't gonna chance the issue that arth already described for me on page 2 then i ->personally<- can't be bothered either.
( which is probable gonna be the case )

cause the game is becoming very stale very quickly.

if the comm. continues dwindling down and the new content doesn't fix this then i would say, if i was a member of UBER entertainment:

OK guys.. time to start with the next Project!

maybe harsh but thats my opinion.
cause it could always turn for the worst and they shouldn't hang on to it for to long if it does

    TF2 launched with the following

    TC_Hydro
    CTF_2Fort
    CP_Dustbowl
    CP_Granary
    CP_Well
    CP_Gravel Pit

6 maps. The game modes were

    CTF
    5CP
    A/D CP
And Hydro is its own little weird thing that no one has really replicated in a custom map, but played like a 5CP map on a macro scale. It's also the most hated map of all so w/e.

Payload took a while to come out. Good custom maps took a good long while to come out... who here has ever played a match on the original TF2 versions of Warpath or Lazytown?

And a significant chunk of TF2's maps are either lifted from the community or were directly inspired by similar maps (Payload in particular, there was already a custom map that managed to implement it, though it wasn't as clean as the official version). If anything, Uber should work on getting an editor released as well as new game modes. Give the playerbase the ability to generate content, then appropriate the best and most popular of that content into 'community maps' that get added to the default pool.

And because they was idiots when TF2 was released, you should do the same?
We have 2011, I don't want "a few years ago it was the same" .... that's bullshit .

NO. They did that because of the time they had to spend working on this ****. Do you realize how much work goes into this stuff?

I find it really obnoxious when people just nonchalantly assume that making games is easy.

I really wish this wasn't true, Hydro is the best map of all the official ones.

I personally haven't been playing much MNC lately, mostly because of a certain beta that I might get in trouble if I say what one it is because I don't read NDAs, and because the air grapples are getting annoying.

    This is huge.

I honestly believe that reverting to the previous patch would be an excellent idea until they fix it.

Also, the community modding kit will allow the players to do some of the work for Uber - FOR FREE! That's right, free man power.

It's really a must do, there is no way around it with a studio as small as Uber.

I personally think the game is great and recieving great support. As more updates hit and all, more people will pick it up. Though it definitely would help when people quit using the term "tf2 clone", and when we see additional map/game-mode content (and the developer kit).

It's playerbase will pick up. I need to get back to it myself, I have been playing xbox street fighter and guitar hero. Although my guitar hero avatar has MNC shirt, and MNC logo guitar. Perhaps I am indirectly supporting the game when people see me get 96 on Fury of the Storm, and then see my shirt and guitar?

Pretty much, I don't know exactly how far that NDA extends, better safe than sorry.

This is good. Even I needed a break when I felt my style was being ruined by gameplay needing a patch. Before spunky cola, juice spam was annoying so I took a break playing blitz until the dlc came out. So if I left due to air grapples, I would now come back post-update once it is fixed.

Good Job with the game, even though the last patch showed issues you guys did it safely by testing on steam for a short time, and are always working on good stuff. It is the best value a company ever presented for xbox ever, and best value on steam IMO considering Gary's Mod really needs orange box to work good and Orange Box with that costs $40. Glad to see so many fairing gems in this economy, and the playerbase only deserves to increase.
