Guile and Balrog would probably be pretty simple.

Actually, have you seen some SF players? You probably could beat about 1/2 of them during normal North America hours using a guitar controller. Literally, flash kick alone wins a game.

They play like armorless assassins on MNC sometimes.

I know, sucks that my character has a terribly hard time against turtlers. I swear you can't even EX ball through Sonic booms without bouncing right back into them...

Of course a topic about Bro turns into a topic on fighting games.

And in return, he has trouble with other turtles. Isn't it odd? There is a rock-paper-scissors heirarchy among the turtle characters. Guile<Dahlsim<Rose<Guile...

Bro is actually a master manipulator, always knowing the perfect way to distract from criticising him...

With every street fighter comment we make he comes one step closer to global domination.

Lets just be reasonable here. There was no real discussion to be had.

I prefer gamepads so much more than steering wheels. More control over what you are doing and more than three buttons.

You mustve used some crappy wheels in your time. wheels offer more control because they have larger degrees of movement through each axis which allows finer control inputs. And my (cheapo) wheel has 10 buttons (though this is a red herring, how many buttons do you really need in a racer?)

But, like you say its preference.

Personally, it depends on the game and how well the various control types are implemented.

For example, I can own face in Blur on PC with the keyboard, but the wheel isn't snappy enough for me. I can drift well in Burnout Paradise with a wheel, but it's more difficult with a gamepad or keyboard. For Mariokart, the wheel is abysmally insensitive and isn't anywhere near exact enough for manual drifting, and the keyboard, well. :p

I can understand how a wheel could be better in some situations. But a gamepad allows for faster response time. You can be more precise with a wheel, but it takes more effort/movement/time to make quick changes with a wheel.

I think it sort of depends on the game. Street racing games where you have a lot of traffic to dodge I'd def think a gamepad would excel. Whereas track racing titles where you want to be precise on your turns to cut off as much time as possible, and you are trying to use slipstreaming to your advantage and need to maintain a position behind someone would probably benefit more from the precision of a wheel.

This, Mario Kart is not a wheel game imo.
