The good 'ol days! a possible rant.

I'm not hopefull for a patch or update, regardless if 20,000 new people buy MNC. It's just one of those things I can't see happening.

It's more to just increase the playerbase, which is good for everyone.

I think plenty of people would be willing to pay for an update, it's just that uber is too focused on their new game. To be honest, it's the exact same thing only with new characters and maps.. I'm extremely disappointed in uber for this terrible business move. I used to tell all of my friends and co-workers about this game, I even bought it for some of them, but I regret doing that now. all I can think of is flooding uber's email with mail asking for an update or something. If all we do is sit here and complain about it then nothing will be done. That's why the first two posts were saying that this always fails, it's because nobody does anything, they just complain. If I were to make a push for an update would anybody be willing to jump in with me? It's worth a shot!

If you think there are enough people to make a difference then i'll help.

It's a long shot but it's worth a try but I want to know what stopped them and how far were they in their development of the update.

uber wanted to shut down the 360 forum cause of the fighting amongst each other. As for the game thats between them and microsoft. Theres no reason at all why this game could not have a sequel and be even made as a retail disk game ala orange box.

Hell get rid of blitz mode and give us more crossfire!

As for the lack of updates etc they don't care and well we forum players have our own fun.

Custom pubs, private matches, pub stomps, rage mail etc...

Each one of us thrives on something on this dead game... Hell theres people who come here just to troll cause they got nothing better to do.

Uber won't do a damn thing and seeing them play this game or having a community night is a joke cause they are all siting in SMNC lobbies telling people to upgrade their skills and give them more cash.

I wish Uber would lower the price to 600 MSP so that the game would at least get one more huge revive before it goe under.

snarf that's exactly what I'm saying. marking the game down 1/2 price should have a lot of players coming in. Sell it 50% off, give a dashboard advertisement and hype the living **** out of it.

I wish we could put together a montage like video explaining MNC and it's possibilities, from casual to competitive.

I could do the video. Try and spread the word about flooding uber with messages as well. I feel like this could work, we just cant have people feeling so so about this. The way I look at it is either we finally get some attention by giving it all we have, or we try and fail, but still have our game. I dont see the problem with trying!

Unless you're a huge fan of efforts in futility, I recommend not even considering trying to get Uber's attention again.

All of Uber's staff has been allocated to SMNC; I find it difficult to believe they would begin pumping out patches for an almost two year-old XBLA title when they seem to garnering so much success on the PC side of things right now.

That kind of attitude wont help change things!
I just believe in giving it all we've got and if it works cool, if not, oh well we tried!
I'm sure they could spare one person to rewrite some code, I could even do it if they would let me! I've even made 2 maps with the unreal engine that they could tie in, Were not asking for like twenty patches, we just want one that will help us out a little bit, just fix some bugs and junk like that. If that's too much to ask for, then uber shouldn't even be thought of as a video game design company anymore, it would be more along the lines of a group of self focused airheads who are living in the glory given to them, and have become ignorant fools who only long for the next paycheck. I thought they were in it for the love of creating a good game, that's what it sure seemed like back then, but now I am truly starting to see their true colors. They wont even think about replying to any message I send them(I've sent multiple by the way, via email and private messages).

Let's just raid the smnc threads.

I have a different idea - start smaller. Get their help in finding a way to fix the leaderboards. Sure, there are people who boosted, etc. AT LEAST THEY WERE LOGGED IN RUNNING THE GAME. I am not talking about those. I am talking about the ones who are so clever because they can use a hex editor (OMG SO SMART!!) that has instructions online. Get them to show that they care enough to fix that, and I will care enough to write them a long email.

I don't know. I tried. If I knew a better route I would have taken it. I tried contacting Uber and Microsoft. I am just an end user though, so I did not expect to get much attention...

I suspect that Uber gets hundreds of emails a day. Since the topic of why MNC hasn't been updated has been talked to death, they probably don't see any reason to reply to the same question over and over again.

It's counterproductive.

Microsoft controls the pricing not Uber. Name one game that gets support once a sequel/next title is released from a 20 person development team? Heck Gears 1 & 2 aren't even supported anymore.
