I'll post a thread with customisation instructions, an updated and better tweaked config and everything later.

Later being "whenever I feel like contributing" (hope that didn't give it away :D)

Actually, that's what fanboys usually say >>

Seriously, all game consoles have their good and bad about them. It's just that this community is one of the more friendly ones.

Also, I envy you. I just cannot e how people can play without a smooth FPS. Then again, I might be spoiled here >>

Awesome! Those settings are a step in the right direction. Not only did it run a little better but my game stepped up a bit. I got like 7/8 kills the game I just played. HIYO! Though now that my mouse movement is a bit more responsive I might just have to switch to my controller.

Thanks for those cookies you promised Col!

And yes, I love MNC so much that I am able to tough out the "non-smooth fps."

Also I came across Sunny Dove in that match and he/she (? sorry) was just laying it to me. I think he/she was trying to send the message for me to not go that way but I had to since the rest of my was in the other lane. Despite my team dropping their ball and bringing it to about 1/4 health they won in OT due to a few players on my team dropping out.

Again thanks for the help everyone. Very much appreciated!
    :D

Kinda funny how somebody can actually have fun playing $13.50 MNC with an under minimum requirements PC while half the $60 Black Ops community running far above recommended requirements PCs can barely even play.

    in \Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\HostileGame\Config

    Open HostileInput.ini

adjust sensitivity and set bEnableMouseSmoothing to false

fiddle around with it to get decent settings (entirely preferential, I use 40 on a 400 DPI mouse, default windows settings)

    Edit:
    bViewAccelerationEnabled=false to disable accel

I can defiantly back this up.

When you joined my friend's server (Fatality) and my brother (PainfulMurderer) I realized you at first sight. I myself was tensioned up when I saw your name also to be honest. I thought I was going to get whooped as well. :? But surprised when you were talking about your pc sucking a lot, that's when I remembered you never had the PC version.

I have to commend you on a job well done for your efforts to withstand that much firepower & lag (as you described) to still be able playing the game, that shows true spirit of loving MNC and would be glad to have you fight with or against me anytime again. :)

p.s. I remember you saying "BACON"
p.s.s. I despise playing Tank too much, he's more of a chore for me to play if my team doesn't have one or the current Tank(s) suck on our team.

    What's the Vsync do?

It synchronizes the frames your graphic card sends to the monitor with the monitors refresh rate. Basically your graphic card would limit its output to 60 frames per second (standard TFT setting) to your monitor. It's only useful if you get more than 60 frames per second. You should set it to off.

It can also make your performance worse if you're not constantly hitting your vsync cap, another reason to turn it off.

    AND it causes input latency.

Ah ok...well then I will set it off. I just had another few really fun games and will share my story of two memorable ones soon I am kind of tired right now. I will say one match I was being stalked by 3 Assassins at once and the second match I can across the enemy team employ a very introverted tactic.
    haha, mystery edit

It will also not work properly if you use a refresh rate above 90 since the FPS rate is capped to 90 online (hello microstuttering)

I had some more matches today and I have to say I think I am finally getting used to the "lag" and extra sensitivity of the mouse. I had a match on LaseRazor and went 13/9/16 with 102 bot kills, 6 turret destructions with 3 built. Of course I was playing as the Tank, my favorite...[IMG]

So yeah i will sum those other 2 games up from yesterday...lets start with the LaseRazor match where I was getting swarmed by 3 Assassins.

So I was still adjusting to the mouse and keyboard so I was beginning to look at my feet less and less but I discovered a new problem. I am starting to do 360's when I am trying to chase and aim at my targets. Now this 360 is in no way cause from using my Death Blossom, this 360 is caused from me moving the mouse to turn but is such a big way I spin like a merry-go-round as I chase my enemy. This is where I had an epiphany:

    • Since these rooms are a dedicated server there is barley any latency. This means if you are in any range of the Jet Gun it WILL connect and it will take your life away. Now this is all fine and dandy but remember I run a Gold Critical Tank, my opponents should be lucky I was a walking merry-go-round for if I was able to look at them long enough they would turn to Tron dust before they could even think about moving away.

Back to this 3-man tag-team Assassin match. So I know I am not really going to be able to Bot and Pro control like I do on the XBox version so I just concentrate on pushing my Bots and controlling theirs. I will say I have a "favorite" or sure fire path for pushing and controlling bot on each map and I stuck to that for this match, as a way to try and make sure I was as much help to my team as I could be with, what I would consider, my handicap.

I am able to control their bots uncontested but there are a few Assassin that are just focused on killing me and my team. I could tell because I was killed next to a "double group" of my bots, which is when two separate waves on the same lane meet up with each other making them a double wave, and the Assassin just went after another Pro after my death. I was surprised that I was able to respawn and make it back to that group and seeing that only the Slim bots died, which with out a doubt their bots killed.

At this point I have plenty of money and a decent 4 deaths, although still no kills of my own. I will say even though I was the hurricane to their bots I was able to retreat quite well and recover my health but then I make an error that appeared to rub these players the wrong way. I pulled off a nice "attacking" combo, I Death Blossomed a double group of their bots and got a Charge 3 double kill on two Assassins trying to kill me. The first Assassin lunged at me so I turned around and charged and kill her and another Assassin that was cloaked. I felt a much deserved taunt was needed not to mention I really wanted the extra money so I could press the Annihilator. Well you guessed it that taunt must have "upset" them.

These 3 Assassins had the most extreme case of tunnel vision I have ever seen in MNC. To bring this story to an end I was able to consistently kill 2 of the three while still maintaining my position in the lane. It was an honest relief to battle 3 Assassins at one and not have a single one juice on me. I will say that "3rd" Assassin I couldn't kill was an Assassin that knew her role, she would never let me kill her. Always escaping at the right moment. ( I know I said I was trying to end this but I am in the TwT spirit right now...) With some more practice and understanding of her role I imagine will be a battling force to retreat from. Even with all the pushing I was doing and putting about 35% damage into their Moneyball we lost in OT. This is when I realized I am utterly useless during overtime for the fact that my "lag" basically doubles. Jackbot XL's throw bounce me around and what I find funny, even though the Jackbot's slams basically make me walk slower then a freakin' Scrambler player feel the need to waster their just bought/earned juice on me. I sit there and eat their full juiced attention and by the time they move away from me they are spent.

I'll make this Ammo Mule match story short. I went Tank again (refer to facial expression above) and the other team was 3 Supports and 3 Gunners. I though to myself "woah. what a combo." The match started ok, I pushed one lane to their base and melted a Rock-it turret and an early built longshot. *Pause* I see an awful LOT of longshot turrets on the PC version. *Go* I get killed by a Gunner as my bots drop their shields and this was all within the first minute.

I spawned and typed (I know the buttons, it's "Y") "The ball is dropped ATTACK!" Now for the other games I typed a messages and players responded right away set the bar high and in doing so made his message fail. Not a single player on my team went past mid-field. The way I can describe the way this match played out is from one of the Gunners protags, "Mortar Combat." Both teams were turtling with 3-4 longshots and barley even attacking. It felt weird being the only aggressive force in the whole game. I hadn't but 0 kills and 16+ deaths but the amount of bot controlling I was doing was just mind-blowing considering how used to I am doing it on the XBox while being under extreme and deadly fire.

I will guess because I have played the XBox version a LOT my start game tactics are unexpected. Like for example being able to control both lanes and drop at least 1 turret if no is paying attention. I, alone, dropped their shields right away and kept dropping them the duration of the game, which believe it or not was 13 minutes long. The real shocking thing about that to me was that I was the only one to really put damage into the ball.

So yeah the enemy team did have an interesting setup. Right so 3 Gunners and 3 Supports. There were 3 level 3 firebases, one at each lane for the and one at the Moneyball and each firebase had a deployed Gunner next to it. Since I was the only player on my team going past mid-field I was their only target but somehow I was able to keep dropping their shields.

So it was 5 minutes until overtime and I had loads of money so I decided to spam spawn Bouncers. I was getting turret kills and Pro kills left and right. As I went over to attack I realized the Gunners are just staying deployed and letting the Bouncers beat on them. They got smart, in a way, and started deploying on their upper ring. This is when my team makes a line for each bot spawn.. I forgot to say all my team had was Supports, Gunners and Snipers so yeah it was a flock of Scramblers and Bouncers running rampant on their base while they got shelled to all hell from Gapshots and Longshots. It was actually quite the sight I must say.

So yeah I deployed with level 3 and juiced twice and melted the ball right before overtime hit.

Geez man, I am actually trying to keep these short but the Tisky Wango is flowing.

Ok so today I go to join a multiplayer game. From reading the forums I guessed that a lower ping is better and so I see one like 60ish and then I notice the host UberGaf which is Ryan Gaffney of the Uber Team. I see there is one spot open and I hurry in like a madman! I make it in and I think to myself "Word yo. I am in an Uber Devs server! :D "

I played about 4/5 games and all were the best I've played yet. This is the server I had the 13/9/16 match on today. It was very Uber.

So yeah I am done typing for now...

If you're having twitch spin issues I'd definitely drop your mouse sensitivity ingame.

With my mouse at 1200 DPI anything over 20 gives me an aneurysm.
