How did the "Complement Thread" turn into a "I'm Better Than You Thread"?

If everyone was actually complementing in their posts (and not thinly veiling a jab at someone else or thinly veiling a complement of themselves) I would think it turning into a flame fest would be impossible...

Sliver, grow up kid. As much as I love having people with KDs lower than 1.0 obsessed with me, it's tiring having to respond to people that go from 1 post to 10 trying to troll me. I'm positive you're younger than 17, so I understand eventually you will grow out of your immaturity, but for now just focus it on someone else. Too many kids are obsessed with me, and you're so far back in line I don't even wanna deal with you.

Ian, I wouldn't respond to Sliver. He's just another kid trying to make a name for himself by trolling me. Haters gonna hate, nerds gonna nerd, slayers gonna slay. Sliver can handle the first two, but I got the 3rd.

Compliments to XBL for having a mute and block function. Great for dealing with children.

On a more serious note, thanks to everyone that plays with me and tolerates my crappy internet. I appreciate that people will still play with me when I'm lagging out of every other game (if I'm lucky).

Related note: Play games with Tom and Jon Numbers. Two of the nicest people in this community, with definite soft spots for low level players. They are community builders, not destroyers.

Fun couple of hours playing with Lief and Randomdude today. Not so fun matches against Lief a few minutes ago. My teams sucked.

Haha, didn't really notice. And yeah, in the Spunky game during OT, I had built up juice and went to town on your moneyball. Pretty much your entire team was standing near it, didn't notice me nuking it, and then allowed me to jet to your juice machine. They finally saw me after I came back and juiced, but it was too late then.

Yeah Rix was stalking me the entire time I tried to juice your ball that match. The first time I got there I managed to get about a quarter of its health down before Rix chased me down, slammed, and gunned me down for the kill. The second time I got there he just plain killed me as soon as I juiced haha

My team during the match: "Hey look there r glowing person in r bases. Lawl that mean we win lolz"

I finally got to play against Im Hudson and SHOW YOUR HEART (the only [OXY] tags I remember seeing) a couple of nights back. Insanity ensued, even though I was in a losing effort for my pubs' part. Would have stuck around, but my up is 1/3 of my down, and makes me a horrid host, couldn't get back into the next round with/against you all.

Yes, those were indeed fun games. I especially loves the ones where I turtled the whole match, and you guys couldn't make it into my base. :lol:

My xbox locked up, which explains the sudden logout, only further compelling me to actually study for finals instead of MNC.

Oh yes, and my mortars made JackTrips ragequit. That is all.

Played with Ian last night and he's pretty good at the game and it was fun chatting after he kinda fixed his connection xD My friends all thought he was cool, so thumbs up for that If I recall correctly he said he was a crappy Sniper but I still remember him doing well xD Good games, hope to play again :3

Looks like Tigger and Lief beat me here. Yeppers, some fun games. Nothing particularly notable aside from the high level of skill from each player. Watching the Assassin rival/best your K/D is always a depressing experience. But, then I remind myself who I'm trying to compare to.

Tigger's Assault is not joke. I'm still trying to figure out what I like, but it's nice to stalk 'im and pick up a few pointers. Just remember if you're heading towards him, keep an ear out for those high pitched beeps.
