I loved True Grit and it's a better movie that I would watch again. Black Swan is intense and will mess with your head.

Eka you said 5 words that has me wanting to learn more about Black Swan and eventually watch it... "will mess with your head."

So are you saying True Grit was better than Black Swan? I meant to say that True Grit was good for its type of movie. It was actually really good now that I think about it. I was just in the mood for some Natalie Portman. I would put True Grit in a similar category as O' Brother Where Art Thou? in my favorite movie rankings. I think I liked them both equally, and O' Brother has a lot of err, rewatchability?

You know I have seen bits and pieces of O' Brother Where Art Thou? and from what I say it looks like a great movie. I am not a real heavy movie person so it's hard for a movie to really capture my attention. Strangely my brain will decide within the first 10 minutes of the movie if it has the patience to sit through the whole movie or not.

I am a sucker for really cheesy movies though, so poor production quality will always keep me captured for some reason. :?

It is a fantastic movie, but just like how Eka likes all Aronofsky films, I love just about all the Coen brother's films.

O Brother and True Grit are both by the Coen brother who are just brilliant filmmakers.

Found this just now. Scroll down to number 2. That is EXACTLY how I feel about Daisy, and THEN some.

She (the writer) forgot a few crucial factors, but that's the gist of why she (Daisy) deserves to kick the bucket.

I loved Fargo and The Big Lebowski. Then I did a paper on The Big Lebowski and had to watch every scene at least 5 times in German and English. I haven't watched the movie since.

Gotta check the other two Coen movies you mentioned out!

Check out Burn After Reading, it's interesting. And of course watch No Country For Old Men.

I need to catch up on the comics (so far behind it's redonkulous) but I really do find the series surprisingly good. Though at some point during the TV Show I went "Sooo, it's about how the last survivors of the world are hicks..?" though it was said for laughs, made my brother choke on a lung xD I just never fully had the self realization in the comics that these people had such Southern accents and some mindsets until I was finally slapped in the face by their accents and such in the show :D

We'll they are in the Hotlanta area so the accent makes sense.

I mean it never really hit me fully that they'd have such accents. Just because I read about Brooklyn characters doesn't mean I'll think of accents first xD I think of characters and story before voices, but that's me personally. In my head they just sounded normal, on TV they sounded different which is why I was like "... Oh yeah, this does take place in Georgia..."

And holy crap Stretch! Is that real?! I wish I was there O.O
