Probably a quick tenant to how awesome this community is...

How do you deal with stuck pixels? I have a beautiful line going down half my screen of blue pixels.

    Sounds like a monitor issue.

It is. I'm sure there used to be a more relevant, hardware related, subforum for this post to go into. How do I fix this monitor issue, bearing in mind it's a laptop.

I've once seen programs that try to show lots of shiny random colors to fix some pixel issues, but I have no idea if they actually work. If not the only solution I can think of is to buy a new screen. (And use the old one as a secondary one ;))

Yep, you need to completely refresh/reset the display. Which would involve doing one of those colour test things.

Single pixels that get stuck can sometimes be reactivated by a program that shows random noise.

A single line of color is usually indicative of a more difficult hardware failure. Either a connection someplace is loose, or the cable is damaged, or the LCD control silicon itself is damaged.

Also, this should be in the unrelated forums... Moving.
