Of course, if there is a technical limitation for you, than that's just that.

I've heard it the other way around ;). But there are often vast differences in that regards between the European countries. Internet here in Austria is rather cheap. Mobile Internet here is even cheaper, we even have free mobile internet here now (I don't mean WiFi, I mean free 3G internet). In the capital, Vienna, there are parts where you can get a 100/100 MBit line as well, for €35/month. There are no total traffic limitations per month (except for mobile Internet).

But 100MBit lines are much more common in the Scandinavian countries. In Germany on the other hand the situation is much more dire. In the country side you don't even get DSL sometimes and everything is much more expensive, on average. (Last I heard at least).

I live in Europe (Netherlands to be exact) and I have never heard of such a limit on normal internet providers. You must be thinking of eastern Europe.

Check your calendar. 2001 was 11 years ago ;)

    (I'd prefer Steamworks myself)

We plan to have the game available through multiple distribution channels. The only one we can guarantee is a direct download from us as it's the only one we control, but others are obviously being explored. A physical copy being available is not out of the question if we get enough requests for it, though it would have to be at a minor premium over the base cost of the game when we release.

We assumed most people would prefer to get the game code via e-mail and start downloading immediately instead of waiting for a physical box to arrive. It would kind of make alpha access moot for the $100 tier if they had to wait for a physical copy of the finished game...

Neutrino has mentioned being on Steam would be up to Valve, but with Steam Greenlight running now it might be up to you. :)
