I know, but I think part of the point is too attack the money ball. And with it being next to the spawn point, it should be bristling with turrets, and bots and so forth, by also having an ejector pad or something, then it will be even harder to push into the base and remove incentive to beat win before overtime. Which would push them game more towards team death match. At least that is how it strikes me.

its just a problem i think needs to be revised. to some people, EVEN CERTAIN MEMBERS HERE!!,this is a game of deathmatch. i was playing with midget and this fellow, and we ALMOST LOST IN OVERTIME because this guy would go buy juice, run into their base, AND JUST GET KILLS!!!. leave it to the lowly assault to go shoot the ball.
and before this turns into a penis competition between everyone here and deadeye, no. this certain individual was not deadeye.

To me...if there would be some sort of last ditch money-ball defense, it would need to work after all two turrets closest to the money-ball are down. And outside the spawn but inside the base so the attackers can see you going for it and still defend. Also I would say this button would need a minute and a half cool down, or else people would just be pressing it all the time...maybe something like that?

I only spawn camp after we have killed the turrets, and the money ball drops. We keep the lanes clear of bots and let our bots do all the damage to the money ball. It strikes a nice balance between objective based mentality and getting kills. Otherwise, 90% of our games would be under 2 mins. When we do this strat, they still only take about 5.

An ejector in the ring would be a great idea though!

It seems like some of the problem could be removed by making some minor design changes to the base. The first problem is the glass in the front of the inner ring of the spawn circle. You know, the one that provides perfect cover for spawn campers. Instead of having that glass wall there it could be moved to the opposite side, covering the main spawn door.

Also, what about a fourth exit? I'm think a hole in the floor of the spawn room that drops you straight down to the lower level.

AAAHHHH!!!!!! what about some sort of penalty system. if a player is killed within 3-5 seconds of spawning, the killer(s) would get some sort of penalty box effect? adds to the sports theme.

It's not always that easy and you know it. Sadly the solution is not much simpler. I personally never go onto the upper ring to get kills but the same cannot be said for others. I have seen numerous players on this forums camp the upper ring without ever looking away from the spawn doors. I had an Assault juice, kill me and another player, run away, and come back juiced again without ever even trying to detroy a turret. Spawn camping is major issue because it hurts the community.

I wish the solution was simple but with the maps being so one dimensional in terms of where you exit the spawn there is really not an easy solution. Add to that Snipers that camp the upper ring and in some cases you are forced to go up there to get a kill. So how do you balance spawn campers against players that camp in their own spawn?

I have been know to jump up on the spawn ring and kill dudes as the come out, but I'm also swinging around the shooting turrets, bots, and the money ball. The solution would be watch for me coming, and pincer me.

If you are in your spawn how do you watch for someone coming? Again, if you are camping on the upper ring of your own spawn then you deserved to be killed up there but the problem comes when opposing players camp that upper ring as there is no cover when exiting your spawn other than to run back into it. Add in the ability to plant bombs or lay freeze traps just outside the spawn door and now the fight is hardly fair. Add in juice and the team doesn't stand a chance.

    and cue the ignore list.
can a developer step in and say something on spawnkilling? i am curious of the importance of this matter to them.

I guess my view on spawn killing (and most of the perceived balance problems) in this game is as follows:

-What can I do to prevent X from happening without asking Uber to change the game?

Example: What can I do to prevent being spawn camped?

-I then make a list of feasible things to try in order to prevent these instances from happening.

    Examples:
*Don't solo queue in a team based game expecting to overcome team based strategies in matchmaking
*Play with people who communicate and are generally skilled
    *Have better map control
*Do it to them before they do it to me
*Spawn as a support and overheal your team mates/firebase to come out of spawn juiced

If I conclude that most of my possible solutions are not really reasonable or practical, then I proceed to the MNC forums and present my case to the masses. If my possible solutions are unachievable because of personal choice or personal inabilities, then the perceived flaw in the game is classified (by me) as one of user error rather than game design.

This is not to say I do not favor some of the suggestions (Ejectors for the spawn ring sound great), but I feel there are far more pressing matters to attend to in the game than trying to combat a "problem" that has plagued most FPS and TPS games.

Amen to that. Ranbow Six games has the biggest spawn camping ever but yet since the very first game they haven't changed a single thing about it.

Let me paint a picture. You spawn in the middle of a room with two exits. One to the left and one to the right. Both exits has enemies just around the corner.

Like Hudson said, It's a user error although I will agree that the spawn room could use a lower level.

A few secrets I'm about to tell about not getting spawn killed:
    1. Play with a team. Otherwise none of the following will work.
    2. Attack an opening. Try to push everyone out one side and wrap back around the other side.
    3. Use distractions. Try throwing airstrikes to scare them back.
    4. Be sneaky. Have your assassin run out in cloak and come up behind them.
    5. Be patient. Have your support not leave the spawn and keep healing everyone who respawns until he has juice, then follow his push.

There are very few games that I have played where I can think of this as being a problem, because most games have taken steps to counteract them, in the form of either spawn protection (ex. invulnerability for 15 seconds or until you fire) or spawn points shifting throughout the game. If game developers themselves have programmed in fixes to this problem for over a decade, I would say it is a pressing issue when it is not present.

I dismiss your solutions out of hand because they rely almost universally on playing with people you know who are good. This just is not a valid argument. Yes, teamwork is preferable, but should not be a requirement to get out of your own spawn.

The reason it is not a pressing issue to you is because you play with friends all the time (or so I assume). Most people do not. People who are just starting to play most likely do not. Does allowing this tactic to remain in existence cause people to have more fun or less? Is someone who just starts playing gonna keep playing this game after this happens to them a few times? Do you want this game to grow, or to shrink?

I play solo 90% of the time and I have no problem with "spawn killing" and/or getting spawn trapped.

btw you can spawn safely in MNC so I don't see the need for spawn protection seeing has how you have a room the enemy can't enter.
