    Or it could just download specs from the Commander. Everything that hits the field ultimately comes from the Comm, anyway.

    It could definitely matter more at the T2 & T3 stages where things can quickly become stagnant. T1 is perfect.

    You could say that but frankly more unlikely than each unit having enough local storage for a full set of blueprints is wirelessly beaming however much such an amount of data would be across the battlefield in realtime.

    I don't think you understand what I said. I said the narrative is that of commanders vying for control of a dead galaxy, smashing planets into each other. It's not exactly a linear story as such but it provides the underpinnings for the kind of emotional context you want in a match.
