Hurp durp. I'm not saying that video games > Books, I'm just saying the majority of todays society like video games over books. It's the same with television and movies. They're more stimulating medias.

it's true, with videos people find they are better than books and the people can just sit in the dark and eat. They think reading is useless, what ya gonna do when the power goes out other than sleep?

Ian, let me reiterate for your tiny brain running on memes and farts.

The average American man is a striver. He values predictability and stability over risk. He value esteemed products to ''show off'' to his peers (aka the status quo). The average American is overweight and overworked. Because of their busy lives, they are often interested in a variety of time-saving devices. Think about it like this, when you do hard physical labor and get home, do you read a book or just flop down on the couch and watch TV?

Can you please cite a source for that assertion? Because a wild-*** guess, nor personal preference, does not equal fact.

The money made from the video game, television and movie markets as opposed to the money made from the book market.

You're still in school. You're not supposed to have a job you like.

Learn how to act on the internet. We don't need double posts, off-topic posts, pointless topics, thread derails, and to be honest, we don't need to know every banal detail of your daily life.

Complete BS. Perhaps your inner circle all prefer video games, but not "the majority of society". Books are awesome.

Please bring up that big list of ethics of how to act on the internet, and why people care. Everything we do in the end is pointless anyways.

That's what you say. Just take a look at the revenue and you'll understand.

This is HALF of my book collection. I have read through every one of these books at least 3+ times. Of course this also doesn't include all of the books I get from the library. Four of the book series in my collection I started after I played the video games they were based off of. Reading is not dead. Trust me.

Again, please cite a source that says more people prefer video games over books. You need to wrap your honor-student head around things called "facts" and be able to back up your assertions with facts rather than opinion. In other words, stop pulling stuff out of your *** and do some research to see if what you think is correct or not.

    1. Farting is extremely rude
    2. Do you expect me to value your opinions and posts, considering your history on these forums? No, so you get meme's as a response. But, you never get the point
    3. You have a tiny head, chances are my brain is bigger than yours

A standard paperback is $7. A standard video game is $60. A movie is usually around $20. Also, most of the books I read come straight from the library, which doesn't cost me a dime.

Another thing is that books are a forced scarce resource. They can be replaced by file sharing but they aren't.
