I don't think bgolous meant using a film grain post processing filter in the game, IMO yes the animated noise isn't pleasn't i didn't like it in Duke Forever and other games like so. I'm hoping he's just going to run the skybox texture through a film grain filter in photoshop then maybe a gaussian blur after too to clean the original skybox texture up. then put the fixed texture back into the game. I honestly don't see the point of a film grain shader in the game, unless it was only used on the skybox and that's it! Film grain filtering the whole scene would reduce the battles clarity IMO.
